This video doesn't give enough credit to Madhesis . Except for Soms who were Pahari (Parbatye), the rest Gopal, Mahispal, Licchavi, Thakuri, Malla and Sen of the east and mid west were all from either Bihar or Bengal. Plus, The Mallas and Sens were Karnatakvamshis and claimed to descend from Karnataka. The Mallas made it compulsory that only priests from Karnataka could be the head priest of Kathmandu. This was to pay tribute to their Karnat ancestry. This video also does not mention the Bengali sens who ruled over Dharan (then known as Biyajapur), Sikkim, Makawanpur. After Gorkhas defeated Sens they also had to fight a bloody war with Bengali muslims.

Fascinating history really well presented - thanks for your time and effort. I wanted to read more into Nepal's history and didn't know where to look, but this has been a great intro and overview for me. Nepal is a wonderful country, and I sincerely hope for the best. If you have any more resources to learn about the history and the people I would love to continue to explore. :)
This is a work of art, equal parts entertaining and informative. The charm and wit of Manas oozes throughout. Was used to seeing him on tiktok but this was a pleasant surprise. Cheers
