I get the "rng being in a tac shooter like this feels bad" but at the same time, if i shoot you with an ap slug irl, idgaf what armor youre wearing youre getting knocked tf out and concussed. Like okay, nerf the penetration but give me the ability to heavily concuss the person since im shooting them with a half inch thick metal slug. Shotguns have never been good in any of these extraction shooters and calling for a nerf before the game even releases is whack
I agree with you on the fact that shotgun armor piercing slugs should have some power behind them, however when literally everyone on farm is running in with a over-under shotgun with slugs... To your point, in a game that leans towards realism, even if the slug doesn't pen the armor, there should be much higher blunt damage. For me however, I feel that if they just lowered that pen stat maybe by half... and the even raise the blunt damage and the damage done to the armor, I think they'd be in a better place. Anyways, thanks so much for watching and I hope you're doing fantastic! Much love gamer!
@bloodlust9487 I agree with that, but then it's like, there's no point to em. RIP slugs are already in the game, and they don't pen but have absurdly high flesh damage and you'd essentially have 2 ammo options that do the same thing but one is worse. Where you pretty much aim for arms and legs because you no longer have the pen chance
@bloodlust9487 and to follow up on everyone running shotguns, i think that's more a symptom of them being extremely affordable compared to everything else and how easy it is to go broke in the game. I personally feel like leveling up your traders does barely anything for you compared to eft, in this game if you wanna run meta attachments on guns, it's never gonna be budget friendly, hardly any of the items are bought from traders, every single scope in the game costs about as much if not more than the guns. In eft, you hit lvl 23 and unlock pk2 and you can affordably start slapping elcans on all your guns every raid
@@snydz212 Yeah, looking at it from that perspective, then in that case the way to make them a bit more balanced would be to just lower the damage. Make them a two tap to the chest. I feel like that would allow for them to keep their armor pen abilities while not being to crazy
@bloodlust9487 100% agree, take some of the dmg away but at least gimme a chance to pen higher armors, then actually using guns like the s12k make sense because you'll need that extra ammo if you plan on dropping a juicer
Any close range shotgun can one shot you close range with Type 8 or AP slug or even rip slug but the main thing is that not all your enemies will be at close range tho🌚
True, but I have even killed people at far distances with headshots up to 80+ meters. And to be honest with you, its not the range that's the problem I feel. Its the consistent ability to pen armors higher than what it says on the round itself. Thanks so much for watching and I hope you're having a good day!
If the AP20 slug was secretly OP, you need to try the UMP45 with AP, it'll melt higher tier armour if you magdump it to their chest, although I do recommend you need to have three to four mags for the gun because 25 rounder ain't helping you win against a squad, so you need to use it kinda in a ratty way like you're a scav.
Lol what? Any lvl 3 ammo WILL melt armor if you MAG DUMP to the chest. Because most lvl 3 ammo have 10-13 armor damage, and t6 armor have 120 durability so mag dumping will kill them yes. But thats just not effective and waste of money. Most lvl 3 ammo cost 120 to 200 koen, Let's use m855 for example. Average price is 180 each so you need at least 5000 koen to mag dump enemy, that's a lot of money. Mag dumping take a lot of time, and will give your enemy window to escape or to return fire. Or just buy premium ammo so you can kill enemy faster, and giving your enemy less time to react. If you are broke just buy flesh ammo like HP or dumdum. It only took 7-8 bullet to knock enemy with flesh ammo. I'm not saying lvl 3 ammo is bad. If you're a normal map player some lvl3 is good option like pp and sp5. Just please don't use them on lockdown, cheap ammo most of the time will kill you. Recommending .45 AP is just dumb when there are far better ammo with lower price or higher performance on the same price
@@tochka4881 Yeah, you're right about that, however, against tier 3 to 4 to even low tier 5s, @greoji is right. But you for sure drove the point home that having bad ammo in a good gun is basically shooting yourself in the foot!
@@Zane_AE I'm just speaking from experience. I'm not abi player i play on mobile, but for the most part of the game like stat the pc and mobile is pretty much the same. I've played through season 1 to 3 using lvl 3 bullet, with the mindset lvl 4 is too expensive and i can still kill high tier player with magdump or shooting their face mask anyway. It work yes but not effective. I stuck on master rank for 3 season. Because i keep dying on head on fight with enemy. Now in season 4 i try to remove my gear fear by always using lvl 4 bullet. @@tochka4881 100% Gamer! I too played the mobile game for seasons 2 and 3. I was relatively inexperienced at the time as well, and didnt know how armor/ammo worked. Now that I do, I with you when saying that if you dont have good ammo, you're setting yourself up for failure. The gun is the pain delivery device while the ammo is the actual pain!
as someone who's been playing since the beginning of the mobile release, AP slugs do not need a nerf and if you truly think this, you probably don't know about the leg meta lol
Here's my main thing: Wearing tier 5 armor and dying in one shot to slugs is not the most optimal thing imo. Im fine with the AP factor, its just the RNG chance of the whole thing. So, in my opinion, I would either say, nerf the damage to be a two tap, or just the reduce the RNG stat. I would be fin with either one tbh. Anyways, thanks so much for watching, and I hope you're doing well!
@bloodlust9487 imo, the rng isn't that big of a deal. I can understand the bitter feeling as it has happened to me, but nerfing an ammo type because of the slim chance of getting one shot with decent armor. If anything, the slugs that do 4X81 damage with 0 armor piercing are much worse. Again, the leg meta is MUCH more brutal with this, and people will be wiping entire squads with DUMDUM rounds. Again, AP slugs might suck to get insta downed once every 10 games, but it definitely isn't as bad as the rampant leg meta. Also, I'm doing fine, i hope you're doing well, as well 🙂
I have seen this more and more recently. Swapping guns is a lot faster than having to reload the shotgun, especially if you have to open inventory and drag the reload from your safe pouch.

also tier 3 ammo can't easily penetrate tier 4-6 BECAUSE OF RICOCHET

everyone running tier 4-6 now so.. leg meta, they need to add leg armor or something..

There is no meta, the real meta is shit gun but good bullets
