I had weekly NST’s and BPP’s starting at 32 weeks. It was a lot but I understand why, I had gestational hypertension. Even on medication my BP was out of control. As I know the monitoring was for my health and baby’s, it was nice to see her on the ultrasounds weekly.

I would love to see a video about having too little amniotic fluid or having too much.

Can you please do a video about breech babies. I just found out my baby is breech at 36 weeks and I’m terrified of having a c-section. Thank you if you do!
Edit-I just saw your breech baby video…I’ll head over to watch it😊

Love your content! I’m 35 and haven’t been spoken to about doing any extra testing for this pregnancy (this one’s my 2nd). My doctor hasn’t even brought up AMA or anything like that yet. Should I be concerned that he should be?

I was diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome between my second and third successful pregnancies. With my third, I saw an MFM every 4 weeks from 12-28 weeks and then I had a BPP at every appointment starting at 32 weeks (every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, then twice weekly). I moved to a different state before I had my fourth, and the practice I went to had a much more hands-off approach. I saw an MFM once, and he was a jerk who basically told me that I couldn't possibly have APS because I had managed to have two healthy babies before I was diagnosed (completely ignoring the fact that one of those babies was growth restricted and I'd also had four miscarriages), but it "probably wouldn't hurt anything" to keep taking blood thinner injections. He made me feel like I was wasting his time and he told my regular OB practice that I didn't need any further follow up or any extra monitoring. I never had a BPP (even though I was 36, in addition to the APS), never went back to MFM (if I had, I would have insisted on seeing literally anyone else).
I went into labor in earnest, after days of start and stop contractions, at 39+4. I never got past 4 cm because my baby was severely distressed and OP. There was thick meconium in the fluid, his heart rate dropped to 60 and didn't recover, and I was rushed in for a c-section. The pathology report came back about 10 days later and it said there was chorioamnionitis, cord vasculitis, and a blood clot under the placenta. I can't help but think that they might have caught things before they got that bad if I had been properly monitored. Thankfully, we were both okay, but my recovery was absolutely brutal.

Question for future video: can you explain the medication used for emergency c-section. Just had one and they brought me out of general anesthesia with just Tylenol and Toradol. The nurses were mad for me. They said that is horrible. But is is normal. None of my doctors will tell me.

What about extra fluid? I got diagnosed with Polyhydramnois at 33weeks and baby’s measuring twos weeks ahead. I don’t have GD either so I’m confused about all the necessary testing

I was not high risk at all, but my doctor was worried that baby was going to be really big. Starting at 30 weeks, I had weekly bpp’s and every 3-4 weeks, I had nst’s. Baby ended up being born at 36 weeks 6 days (all on his own) 7lbs 13oz!

I started NST at 32 weeks but the hospital kept wondering why I was there. I told them my OB said, "geriatric pregnancy and IVF" but they said the IVF is the only one that makes sense.

Why do they make you do 2 BPPs a week (32w forward) if you are insulin dependent 🙋‍♀️ but my friends who are diet/ metformin controlled don't.

My HCG levels at 5 weeks came back 3958 IU/L , in the comments it states Above Normal Range. I don’t see my doctor till Tuesday next week and I’m hoping maybe you could give me some insight on wether this is good or bad or both or what to expect because Google isn’t helping me lol. I am now 7weeks 🎉 first ultra sound is in April
