In case of an airbag deployment, wouldn't the glass lenses be dangerous due to potentially shattering? Plastic seemingly alleviates this issue. Genuinely curious.
I leave my glasses in the compartment above me, no issues in the heat. However leaving them out in the open on the seat, on your dash unprotected is a bad idea.
i never had a problem with sunglasses in the car other than the frames being to hot to put on my face. now leaving my proscription glasses in the car is a different story
Great question! Theoretically yes because you'll have less tint intensity near the bottom of the lens which is the portion you'll likely look through to view said screens or a phone.
We can help with that! Give our opticians a call or shoot us an email with your Rx info and an optician will get back to you asap to get an order started. You can also order online in the links below...🔥 👉www.sportrx.com/costa-rincon.html 👉www.sportrx.com/costa-spearo-xl.html
#sportrx stoked 2 find ur page man!😎 I was a lead lab tech at LensCrafters (Luxottica) back in the day & worked with most major brands & materials. 🕶️ I was there in the final years when we used 1950’s tech & made lenses by hand from blocks of material-to finished lenses, inspected with microscopes!.. at a time when lense & coating tech was rapidly evolving! Last 2 years of my tenure was starting their 1st store to began using CNC tech (which they were cautiously optimistically about) so I learned a bit about glasses. Most review channels are 🐂💩 who just read descriptions off websites & sound like child-unboxing-toy-vids!! 🤙♥️
Hey Sylvester that is the Oakley Scavenger! Unfortunately we no longer carry that model but you can see what Oakley's we do have here: bit.ly/3vzvq3H. Also just note that we will include the information of Tyler's frames in the RUclips description as well. Thanks for tuning in!
Hi there, yes! The Prizm Sapphire Polarized, Tunsten Polarized, and Black Polarized work great for bright sunny conditions. A non-polarized tint with a higher VLT percentage helps with overcast/cloudy conditions. Check out the Prizm Dark Golf, Road, or Trail Torch. A good in-between option is the Prizm Road Jade or Rose Gold. Check 'em out!
I don’t like your comment to the effect that the “scientific test” showed that the yellow lenses don’t help at night. The scientific test evaluated the wrong issue. The principal reason to wear yellow is to minimize the glare of the newer led headlights, which really should be banned because of blinding oncoming drivers. Mine really help me deal with the led headlights at least until they are made illegal.
LED technology is Great, but there is no reason to increase the light intensity the way they have done. In addition the headlights often are not properly aimed. They blind on-coming drivers. The motor vehicle authorities really need to set some limits. Until they wake up to this, the glasses do a good job of reducing the glare.
Yes, absolutely. It ultimately comes down to personal preference but the chromance blue should assist with contrast and clarity especially in bright environments.
Great video! I have a pair of Oakley Turbine Grey Ink with Ruby, does the etching at the bottom PrizmP, mean it’s Prizm & polarized also? I love all the other videos y’all put out very informative! Thanks
may be a dumb question but is there a reason why some are mirrored on the inside? because sometimes if the sun is hitting me from a side angle the reflection of seeing my eyes can be a distraction

I’ve had lenses get damaged from being left in the car. This is definitely something to be aware of also the frames getting damaged from the heat.

Would gradient help you see better as you enter parking garages or checking emails and texts on your phone in an outside parking lot?

I have transitions Drivewear lenses on my sunglasses and I think they're great.

Hi, I’ve got a rayban chromance blue color mirror lens, just wondering is that suitable for driving? Thanks
Yes, absolutely. It ultimately comes down to personal preference but the chromance blue should assist with contrast and clarity especially in bright environments.
