- 2 quick ways to reset a Vizio TV. You can either soft reset/restart, or hard reset/factory reset your Vizio, both with and without the remote.
There are methods to help you reset your Vizio TV when the screen is black or to reset a Vizio TV that won't turn on using a combination of buttons on the back of your TV.

I had to power cycle my vizio 65 4k tv off just from the wall plug, unplugged it for 30 seconds, unplugged everything. It worked.

Terrible experience with my Vizio. Remodeled my home two years ago and bought me a 70 inch and had it mounted. So proud of it and it looked and worked wonderful. Went to bed, got up the next morning to watch news and the screen is black. I hear the sound but see nothing. I'm on a fixed income and saved 2 yrs for my remodel and tv. I can't run out and buy another tv. How would a T con board or black light go out in 24 months. I can't get this huge tv down myself and even if so I would have to figure out how to fix it. I live in a small town and there's no one here to "fixs tvs". I m so disappointed and will never buy another Vizio.
When we hit the power button on our Visio TV or its remote we get a blue square on the screen with orange letters on top that says No Signal and then the TV immediately turns itself off. We’ve unplugged and replugged all power, hdmi and roku cords. No change. And the TV won’t stay in long enough to hit any other buttons to do any resets, either. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!
I’m I confused? If you can’t see the screen how can you use the emote to choose menu etc?
Our Vizio (M-series, 55 inch) lasted 3.5 years....

I don't remember exactly the process under which it deteriorated, but eventually it lost "vertical hold" with which I mean that there was a picture (and there was sound), but the picture consisted of only vertical colored lines...you could see that you changed channels and you could see the picture content vary, based on the programming it was receiving (and showing). - I don't know this, but it seems to me that the problem could be extremely basic...but if you try to talk to customer support, they will try to persuade you to purchase a new TV...
Great, isn't it..? - So I have tried to see if it is possible to located a decent TV repair shop in Los Angeles - I am located close to the airport, but would be willing to travel a bit, if that would seem promising...

These tvs are garbage the factory reset without the remote didn’t work and the crap remote has no menu button
