    Was wondering about how a Prime Rib would do in the new Duo, and seems the end result turned out just as juicy and tender, as it did in the Foodi.
    Last year, I was “Johnny Come Lately” when I decided to get a prime rib for the holidays, and didn’t exactly get the pick of the liter, which led to a few small cook issues, but it still ended up as a great meal, but this year, I think I’ll shop early, get a choice prime rib, and attempt this again, in the air fryer. Thanks, John, for doing the “homework” for all of us, and working the “kinks” out of these recipes, and getting these types of recipes down to a simple, easy to follow technique that will yield dynamite results! 👍

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  4 года назад +1

      That is a good idea Dave...I had about 4 to pick from at my local grocery store and there were only two I would have even considered...so any Johnny that came behind me only had one to choose...lol...and I'll also say that the way I cook has changed so much over the last couple of years it is shocking!!! And I'm sure it has for many people that have taken advantage of these kitchen gadget advancements and recognize how much easier and faster some recipes can be...thanks Dave and thank you for watching!!!

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  4 года назад +1

      I'm a little skeptical, although I think it is a good idea, I need to see more videos first...I saw it was 1000 watts so I assume you can't have both devices running at the same time or it would draw too much current on one circuit and kick breakers, I also wonder how the element is designed and if 1000 watts is comparable to the ninja or the duo crisp when it comes to Crisping...etc...because that is very important and if the food doesn't get crispy in the pot.. then taking it to the oven broiler..or to just purchase a stand alone air fryer seems to be a better idea...if I see a video that convinces me otherwise I might buy one..or if someone watching feels different for good reason I would consider buying it just to review it for my subscribers...but I admit... I have some reservations about it...thanks for watching!

    I know nothing...but I would have done slow cook at 275 degrees. When the center is done at 135 F or so, next use Broil to give it that crust. Someone is going to ask how is Broil different than AirFry. From what I've read, Broil will be "less severe". AirFry more likely to scorch. Fan speed? Something to play with.

I would not purchase this device...however I think the other features this device brings to the table...or the counter...lol..it is something to consider but I have no reason to try and convince anyone they need it...I just really like the extra features...thank you for commenting and for watching my video!!!

      Naahh... I think the majority of most of John’s subscribers like his “off the top of his head” reviews. That’s why his subscriber numbers are still growing.
      I think it lends itself to a more honest & entertaining collection of reviews rather than something scripted.
      Just sayin...
