    Its REALLY well edited and scored and the instructions are clear and easy to understand. Well done - since this I have watched a couple other bubble freezing vids which were basic AF and offered very little in the way of step by step instructions.

      @Christine Turner, as a Vancouver resident myself I've found winter temperatures in the Lower Mainland aren't quite cold enough. I've tried to freeze bumble on numerous occasions near -5°C, without any success. I've also found that the relative humidity can impact how successful freezing bubbles are: with less humidity being more desirable 👍👍👍

    Try cross polarization. I have a linear (or circular) polarizer on my lens and a linear polarizer beyond my subject. Polarize the light illuminating the bubbles. I purchased a whole 50" by 19" (127×48 cm) sheet of polarizing film decades ago that I use pieces of for my ice crystal photography.

    Thank you so much for this awesome video. You are ridiculously likeable and easy to watch.
    Your bubbles are gorgeous (and I didn't even mind the background music - which is unusual for me). Your explanations were very, very good! Super video!
    I have one question: if you literally BLOW the bubble, doesn't the warm breath heat it up too much? In the video, it so often looks as if you're merely touching the end of the straw to/near the surface, then pulling away (but I can't imagine how that works, either).
    I never seem to get weather cold enough to try the bubble blowing, but I'm still hopeful 🙂
    Thanks again!

    • @neilfisher
      @neilfisher  2 года назад

      Many thanks @Shutterbeetle 👍 Appreciate the feedback😃😃😃
      Yes, I regret not including more in depth detail in to how the bubbles are actually created. You're correct in that the end of the straw doesn't need to make contact with the intended surface - you can even have a bubble freeze on the end of a straw... provided there's zero wind and you have a steady hand.

    Great Video mate! Waiting for 2 winters now for the temperatures to drop...:D Maybe I finally start my first tests at nigh when the temperatures drop to -4°C (hope this will work...)

      @Another Perspective DE it's worth trying -4°C, especially if it's a night without too much wind 👍👍👍

    Thank you so much for your helpful tips. Great tutorial! You mentioned that you did this with an iPhone. That’s what I’d like to do. I have a Moment macro lens. Is that enough? Did you use another app for manual settings and if you did, what settings did you use? Thank you so much once again.

      Thanks for the kind words @Choo Choo Rosenbloom 😃😃😃 I honestly can't remember what version of iPhone I used, likely an 8 or 7 plus, but no special lens or app was used. Just the plain ol' Apple camera app and the wide lens of the phone. That said, using the Moment macro lens could produce some terrific results - and definitely something worth trying out 👍

    The problem is that he is creating a beautiful art… And instead of making this into a phenomenal art videos he’s turning it into an educational video and takes away the mystery… I enjoy watching the formation of the different shapes it is magical… You will have a lot more viewership if you create these artworks without telling people how it’s done… Seriously beautiful

    Can this also bee done by pouring soap water over a crystal sphere or lens glass?

    • @neilfisher
      @neilfisher  5 лет назад

      @J. E. to my knowledge the only way to have the bubbles freeze before they pop, is by exposing them an ambient air temperature well below freezing. Hope this helps. 👍

    Ok I’ve had my bubble out in -7C for over 10 minutes
    Why isn’t it freezing? Would it be the solution

    • @neilfisher
      @neilfisher  3 года назад +1

      @Oksana Posan it could be that -7°C isn't quite cold enough. I've tried to freeze bumble on numerous occasions near -5°C, without any success. I've also found that the relative humidity can impact how successful freezing bubbles are: with less humidity being more desirable 👍

    Hello, can it be done in studio set up. I live in India which never has weather like over there. Any tips for trying it on ice pack ? Or shall I make my set up in freezer of fridge rather....

    • @neilfisher
      @neilfisher  5 лет назад

      @sushil shinde I suppose it's possible to reproduce the necessary environment in a controlled setting, but it would require some rather extensive resources. The air temperature is the most important aspect of bubbles freezing - and the colder the better. Good luck. 👍
