it was probably made so the sheeting could fail in a storm without damaging the underlying structure. At least I hope that was the idea.

There are often victims of poorly used generators after hurricanes. It is 100% preventable.

Its selfish & reprehensible to see people out on roads imperiled by hurricane damage. Time to put up mandatory curfews for 1/2 a day following a hurricane. Far too many think they’re entitled & it needs to stop. Being out & in the way of police and rescue units could imperil a rescue and cost someone their life. Heart broken by all of the horrific damage from Florida to Virginia wishing you guys the best recovery. You have the best support you could want to have, our nation has your back. Stay safe out there. 💔😢🇺🇸
Agree. If you've done something stupid to put yourself in a position where you have to be rescued.. YEP. Rescue the folks, by all means, but charge the ones some money to cover costs. Call it a 'Stupid Tax'. I can understand if they were out trying to reach a loved one and thinking the storm was over.. but lookie-loos don't get a pass.

I got sick to my stomach watching idiots trying to film the storm and defiant clowns saying they will ride it out then call for rescue. Those people don't realize the impact of their acts. Because it encourages others to risk their own lives only to need to backtrack and see that it wasn't safe to do so at a point.

A classic example is when Sandy hit NYC, the streets in Coney Island, Brooklyn were over 4ft deep in the Atlantic Ocean Sea Water.
Those fools learned that having emergency backup generators for apartment buildings in the basement DOES NOT WORK!

Asheville, NC was 4X worse than Florida, 30 inches of rain in Asheville in 24 hrs; the flooding caused big "rapids" in the river with houses floating down the river; devastation was 4X what Florida saw.
That's because a cold front blunted the intensity. It's also why it spawned tornadoes.

Sounds like Florida and there leader people did good job as well and hats off to all the LINE MEN that u never hear much abt that we’re standing by from other states AND Canada. That may make YOU feel better but it does nothing for victims. If there existed a god then it created hurricanes and intended for this to happen. It was part of the evil plan I guess!
Plus every single time prayer has been studied, it has failed to do anything at all. If it worked then hospitals would use it but the religious and non religious have exactly the same chances. I wish less people were praying and more people were doing something real!
