The best place to start is with a local club, if you have problems finding one get in contact with the UKPSA or us via our website and we'll point you in the right direction!
Hello folks!.... I've recently joined ukpsa as a member and I'm wondering if there is a forum etc to get to know other members as I'm totally green and no one in my social circle into it and the thought of going to comp is abit daunting if im honest lol
In the USA people use semi-auto shotguns because they are faster than pump guns. In competition speed and time on target is everything. One competition in America is Steel Challenge. The better shooters of the Steel Challenge Nationals have a 5 second time on each stage of five targets. That's no more than one second to aim and fire on the target. I thought it was hard to get a shooting string of five targets in 8 seconds. Most use .22LR pistols for Steel Challenge. When you are competing your scores are based upon time. Seconds mean you either win, or, just go home.
@@Gunroomtv Firearms Certificate for both smoothbore and rifled weapons? Does Firearms Certificate require a certain time of having guns from Shotgun Certificate? Or can you get it right away?
@@ZenoFromTheElea You can apply for them both, and get them both, at the same time. You need to have a good reason for having a Firearms Certificate though and if you can't prove club membership or need for vermin control/hunting they won't issue.
