- We are thrilled that mixed media sculptor Jacqueline Mallegni will join us in the Friday Feature Artist studio this week.
Jacqueline creates mixed media sculpture with rattan, handmade paper, cast flax and silk fibre, sometimes embellished with mono-prints infused with indigo, sumi ink and handmade ink/stains from plant material.
Jacqueline's process begins with paper, and she explains, 'The thread of my creative process always begins with paper. Making and the art of transforming tangible fibre to an intangible pulp, returning to a tangible form, is very alluring for me.'
We would like to thank Jacqueline Mallegni for sharing their time, artwork and knowledge with us.
