- In this video, I share one of my most frustrating flight experiences while traveling from Mumbai to Delhi on Air India Express. The journey started with a stressful check-in process due to a payment issue, but things only got worse.
A fellow passenger ignored safety protocols by staying on the phone during takeoff, leading to an uncomfortable situation. After moving seats, I was served a disappointing meal-an omelette that was far from appetizing and a dry hara bhara kebab that I couldn't even finish.
Even my favorite mutton biryani didn’t hit the mark, and the banana choco cake tasted off. Although the crew was kind enough to offer me some of their green tea, my bag was misplaced upon landing, adding another 30 minutes to an already bad experience.

On AirAsia flights I have seen Indians talking and only Indians on their phone talking on take off and landing even after flight crew telling them not to.
When you start off in a bad mood, everything that comes after starts feeling bad.

So that man must put his phone on flight mode too and thereafter he's snatching the phone too. So what do you expect a person will do in this case. Of course he'll be irritated right?

If not putting a phone on airplane mode would bring down an entire aircraft the phones would be banned outright. Cabin crew’s primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of all passengers. This should’ve been handled by them. I appreciate you trying to stand up to an unruly passenger but it is really not worth it to spoil your day over this.
The phone call may have been important. Next time, mind your business. The crew will handle it. It's their job after all.

No one's going to die. The plane hadn't taken off yet. Besides, the call would have automatically been cut off once the plane took off. Nowadays, planes are equipped to handle these things. The precautions are still kept in place for any future lawsuits, and not because the plane is actually going to lose control.

It's natural for co-passengers to appear in the frame while shooting travel videos. In order to safeguard their privacy, their faces are blurred out while editing. If your co-passengers, who are able to see that you are indeed shooting a video, object it, then the creator should ensure that the privacy of the concerned co-passenger is not breached. If they do not object, it indicates that they are fine being filmed. In this video, the privacy of the co-passenger has not been breached. The creator has not revealed any identifiable information about the co-passenger. If you call this shameful, it implies that you are disrespecting every travel vlogger out there and also crores of viewers, as according to you, they are encouraging something 'shameful' by watching and subscribing to travel vlogs. This shows how 'morale' you are.

At the end, irrespective of whether you were right or wrong, it would just be described as 'two passengers fighting', which would bring you down to his level from everyone's perspective. Instead, you could have asked the flight crew to look into the issue. That would have garnered all the support for your cause. No worries! There's always a lesson to learn in every moment of life. Having seen a lot of your videos, I can say that you try to avoid other people coming in your frame as much as possible.

That kind of attitude in and of itself is wrong. It is the equivalent of seeing somebody getting mugged and thinking "the police would handle it", and walk away without even calling for help. I understand that it is not his job, but it IS his duty to reprimand someone who clearly does not care about their safety and gets angry over being rebuked for his mistake (suggested by his attempt to snatch the phone).

Most people travel due to work and as work pressure mounts the phone calls also increase.You need to be a little more understanding.Using phones in flights do NOT endanger it any way because cell phone frequency and the tower frequency are different.Hope you understand and stop picking quarrels with random people

You are not legally required to turn off anything. I’m applying US law to this. Unless it’s 5G which would interfere with tower and the pilots it doesn’t effect the plane or the comms
In India you are legally obligated to turn off your phone . Disobeying can lead to fines .

There are some good days and bad days, glad you made it through one such day. I agree on the point that air hostess are seated during take off, so nothing wrong about reprimanding offenders. These days everyone can afford a flight ticket but sadly very few have sound common sense to differentiate between right and wrong. I have personally seen a person chatting through take off that air hostess had to literally yell. I was resisting the urge to give a speech to that person bcoz u can clearly see the person is so ignorant and risking lives of others in the process. Whatever science says, follow the rule on flight, whats the big deal?! Even if its an emergency can anything be done at that point? No, so follow the protocols!

First off, nothing happens in modern day planes if you use your phone. We are in 2024 not 1997.
Even if you feel the need to confront inform the cabin crew. They are literally trained to handle such passengers. Flicking your camera out is not the answer.
First up, phones are also modern. 5G especially interferes with a bunch of things in the cockpit. Please check with Airbus, Boeing, the airline, DGCA or your pilot friends. WhatsApp university isn’t good enough.

You were right to ask him to switch his phone off. There are many cases where the phone has blasted and the co passengers were also affected.. the crew should have done something about it. Edit: Also guys apparently phones being on during take off can tamper with the flight navigation system because of the radiations which is why they ask us to keep em off. This is something that i just learned.. and yes which is ultimately the reason why some phones do react badly..

Air India service has become horrible now. My flight from Delhi to Kolkata got delayed by more than 3 hours without any reason. I am never flying with them again.

i religiously follow your content, but i was slightly let down today. Yes i understand the notion of having your phones on airplane mode as the flight takes off, but with modern tech its rather just about etiquettes.Your phones emit radio waves which were once speculated to interfere with the signals that the captain receives in his headsets from the air traffic controller, however with advances in comms its no longer a problem (the same reasons these airlines offer paid wifi services on board) yes the cabin crew members continue to address the passengers to put their phones to flight mode but its rather a formality. furthermore had it been a serious problem the crew would surely attend to it. If someone's demeanor agonises your experiences you can ask the cabin crew members to resolve the same(you might as well get a free upgrade) however creating a ruckus, taking jurisdiction into your own hands and recording a stranger without consent and uploading that on social media is something i abhor. I'm not trying to sound mean but maybe you reaped karma for what you did with the adulterated experience.

Just mind your own business. Technology has advanced. Phones now don’t interfere with plane’s instruments. Its no longer necessary to use the air plane mode. There is WIFI on many planes now😂and your are scared about someone talking. Even Pilots use their IPads while flying to monitor weather etc. Also there was no need to put a camera on his face.

Flying on a plane where the crew advises you to turn off the cell is different than using phone at petrol pump . It's also proven that the use of phone can interfere with the plane. Due to improvment in tech the chances are low still it cn happen

@@DCT_EATSactually talking on a phone does not affect youror the people inside the plane's safety it is done so that the people on the ground does not lose cell connectivity as when travelling very fast a phone comes in contact with a receive relay cell service tower it sends out high intensity signals that cuts off other people cell signals hence disconnecting their calls ... By other people I mean people on the ground ...... So don't worry about your safety your safe..... And all the people will be safe both on the ground and on the airplane

Not talking on phones during flights are basic mannerisms. We can't teach people this they have to learn on their own. Common sense is not that common with this man gossiping in the phone. He is so involved in talking that he is risking everyone on the flight and disturbing people siting around him.
Not putting your phone on flight mode while taking off can literally interfere with the pilots signals. There is a reason they ask you to do it. The guy sitting next to you isnt a baby, he just doesn't care. I had one old guy sitting next to me who didn't hang up even after the plane started airlifting off ground, he even accused the airhostess of being "disrespectful to elders" when she asked him to turn it off. People like that never learn.

Ah that same pathetic AIX A320 I had a ride on this from Imphal to Kolkata ..this plane is old , too less leg space and the plane had bad turbulence that day .....My experience was too bad ...I would prefer indigo over this , anyday!
