Very good and independent report, thank you! I think this Conquest VHP is a truly milestone for all those who appreciate ultimate precision in a watch they can rely upon. I own the 1969 Longines Ultra-Quartz and the 1972 Longines Ultronic , and I do appreciate all the great improvements presented in this video, especially the easiness with witch the the watch can be sent to "sleep" and then recover at the exact second. It is important to mention that when changing the battery every 5 years (or longer in case in the meantime the watch was put on sleep mode from time to time) the new battery if replaced witnin 6 months from the first sign of "end-of-life" will make the watch go to correct second and also the calendar will be correct , because while chaning the battery the electronic internal mechanins will continue to work . I like both versions, perhaps the chrono version in 42 mm with the silver dial is truly timeless sports elegance .
Intriguing. Looks like they put a lot of thought into these. And honestly: Having one or two quartz watches in one's box doesn't hurt - be it only to adjust the mechanical ones ;-)
I'm not a quartz fan either, but I'm all for innovation and cheaper prices which take the customer seriously. This is a great attempt by Longines. I wish it/them well.
Great. Longines was the first brand in watches I liked. Think of early 80's Formula 1 days (in my house still black and white). Never owned a Longines and it seems won't buy this one even though I wish there were funds to get this wonderful timepiece. Really amazing watch. maybe in time I will be able to get me one.
For the perpetual calendar, you have nothing to do unless the battery is totally empty, in which case you will have to go to a service center, but this is very unlikely. And for the seconds hand, you can do this yourself. Best to you
Lovely piece. I have one on order, Sept delivery. I love mechanical watches like most people but the precision, look and price point of the VHP is too good to pass up.
Hi Marc Speaking about having ,,More for less ,, are you going to make report video about Tissot Balade COSC ? As it is indeed killer in the market under 1000 eur category. Thank you
From my view there is just a hint of Cartier Tank about it, more in the seamless bracelet and dial, not the dial of course, which is a good thing, Longines return to glory, very nice...
Longines have very nice and affordable (by Swiss standards) mechanical watches like Conquest or Hydroconquest. For a less then a 1000 USD you can have really tough mechanical watch, with good case, overall finishing and with a reasonably nice bracelet. Their designs are quite original and what is more important they are not trying to copy anything from upper market segments. Their guaranteed lifespan of service is at least 15 years after a purchase and their service prices are very affordable. On top of that you are getting a brand with a nice history. In my opinion right now they are a sweet spot for people who want to have a good mechanical timepiece, but can't or do not want to spend more on higher brands like Omega. You can also think that they somewhat stayed true to their origins by offering quality watches for a reasonable price.
i noticed Longines Conquest have model that have the VHP printed on the dial, some dont (and selling cheaper, about $700. Do you know anything about it?
i would buy it...., but i have OCD so i cannot buy watch which has wrong inner bezel, numbers 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 are wrong(up-side down), it drives me crazy. Why only few vendors are doing it the way my eyes+brain can accept. Or at least do not use that inner bezel at all, then i will buy it, thank you. Otherwise perfect idea for technology(as i am looking for a quartz with perpetual c.), also price is acceptable.
These'll be quite successful, I should think, though there is a little purist inside me that almost made me click to a new video when you said 'quartz' :)
Not so sure Watchestv should be purveying proletariat price points. I can just go to a crappy store and play with this cheap stuff myself. But its not easy to see a Richard Mille or Greubel Forsey and learn all about high-end craft.

I like the design. Good introduction to Longines VHP. Respect Longines effort.
Intriguing. Looks like they put a lot of thought into these. And honestly: Having one or two quartz watches in one's box doesn't hurt - be it only to adjust the mechanical ones ;-)
I love LONGINES since I was kid.. I want it to be back to its glory days :) I can see this happening now .. well done LONGINES
They are for sure doing a good job.
I'm not a quartz fan either, but I'm all for innovation and cheaper prices which take the customer seriously. This is a great attempt by Longines. I wish it/them well.
Yes, I think that's the most important point of this video!
950 CHF ? That's a very good price! Love that crown action, reminds me of Rado touch !
Not convinced that this is a watch for me but I have a soft spot for Longines and wish them well on this. Thanks for the video guys.
Very welcome!
I like it. I too love mechanical but I can see this in my collection. The chrono in particular.
I like this CEO. Longines has been doing a wonderful job so far. They do best with what they can and have. Way to go.!!
A great guy!

Maybe... ;) best to you
I am starting to love quartz watches
This is a cool new product can you also reset the seconds hand? How do you set the date if it is a perpetual calendar?
For the perpetual calendar, you have nothing to do unless the battery is totally empty, in which case you will have to go to a service center, but this is very unlikely. And for the seconds hand, you can do this yourself. Best to you
Great report! Do more on Longines, Hamilton, Oris, and Fortis. Not every watch enthusiast can spend thousands and thousands on a watch.
I know, I know, just nice to talk about the supercars of the industry ;) but count on us, we will do reports on more accessible watches too.
Totally wish for more Fortis reviews!
Fortis, Oris. They rhyme, they're good
Lovely piece. I have one on order, Sept delivery. I love mechanical watches like most people but the precision, look and price point of the VHP is too good to pass up.
WatchesTV you know when it will be realsed, and what dimensions it have? cant find it anywhere :)

I think that's the only quartz watch that would actually tempt me...
I've never that before and good price!
I like the new V.H.P. Conquest a lot, when is the release date ?
From my view there is just a hint of Cartier Tank about it, more in the seamless bracelet and dial, not the dial of course, which is a good thing, Longines return to glory, very nice...

Well summarised, they indeed stayed in their territory and have done a good job at it.
i noticed Longines Conquest have model that have the VHP printed on the dial, some dont (and selling cheaper, about $700. Do you know anything about it?
The VHP is indeed reserved to the high end part as it stands for "very high precision"
Very nice design but it has a battery so NO. Great report as always.
Brilliant looking watch but quartz for almost a 1000 no thanks
really watch producer, good job done, you will get back more and more.
a quartz I would actually consider buying. pretty cool. this is turning into one of my favorite brands with their heritage line.
They have nice stuff in that collection, very true
I like the technology but i would change the design. No big numbers. I bought a 13zn today do they still service my watch?
Now, if the seconds hand ticked five times a second, or continuously, that would be something.
Would probably eat into battery life though.
Why not a VHP Solar ?????
My VHP Lost the date programme !! After changing the batterie 😢😢😢
Which face... Carbon or White looks better in person ?
i would buy it...., but i have OCD so i cannot buy watch which has wrong inner bezel, numbers 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 are wrong(up-side down), it drives me crazy. Can you make a video about vintage watches and more top 5's
We hear you!
These'll be quite successful, I should think, though there is a little purist inside me that almost made me click to a new video when you said 'quartz' :)
Haha and totally understand, felt bizarre like I mentioned ;)
This or a Seiko Astron? The Seiko is a more expensive but will always be on time and has a titanium case.
Pondering this watch right now...But 5atm isnt enough to take it in a swimming pool
I want to do an Arabic version of thewatches.tv ❤
Now that would be cool!!!!
NO! Vintage Longines is best!
the watch is very interesting good looking, but man, what a big pair of eyebrows!!! that got my attention during the entire video
lengine mixed betwin the old fashion and the new ,so they made a nice watches
Me regalan uno.
Perfect!
Caliber with no jewels...

Don't worry, we'll keep talking about the supercars of watchmaking!!! But to open up once in a while is not a bad thing ;)
love the longines watches from 1970 and below but i really dont like the new watches from longines. The quartz revelution really messed up longines.
Same.
Jimmy Le Voir I like all type of watches but, mechanical is where the ❤️ is.
7s29 totally agree
water resistance to only 5atm? They must be kidding us..
Don't take this watch. No one knows how to set this watch
More than twice the price of an equivalent Citizen. Good luck with that Longjeans.
Not the exact same positioning though ;)
i respect longines for the effort behind what they're trying to do, but this reminds me of prettier citizen eco-drive
Understand your comment ;)
malevlnt2 mmmmm... eco-drive is totally different, I guess.. it might does the same thing but in a different way... I respect both systems
It competes with the Chronomaster. Look it up
