    This is our van that Stuart and his team converted. To say we are pleased is a complete understatement. As you'll see, they did a fantastic job and we love the finished article.
    Our kids love sleeping in their den underneath and we cant wait to explore and enjoy the van more this year.
    We couldnt reccomend these guys enough if you are looking for a conversion. Thanks again!

    Another first class build by the Vanology crew and a good one for Shane's first: first word of the customer when he opened the sliding door: 'Wow'..says it all really..he also said what I've always said which is the attention to detail which you have in buckets..
    Compared to some of the other recent ones, a fairly simple conversion, however simple done well is the way to go for me..
    Hope that nagging water inlet by the sliding door gets sorted...sure it will..
    See you on the next one..👍🤠

    Excellent work , love it learning a lot . I used aluminium corner with a recess for led strip which came with the corner from clear cut conversions in Barnstable. The led strips were taking over 2amp at 12volt so I bought a few inline dimmers, which reduced the current to well under an amp and took the edge off the brightness 🔆 I.E less disco more camper van 🤣 thank you both well done and good luck from the Bont 👍👍👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧🇨🇦🦢

    Fiamma sell an above sliding door water divererter strip, used a lot to stop the rain running down when you open the slider. May be worth a try. I had one on my Ducato self build. Some have used some tile corner trim stuck on to divert the water too. 👍🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

    Van looks brilliant, I'm doing something similar with my old work van. I have the same back seats for my van and I want to make the false floor like you did but if the seats rails are fitted directly to the van floor won't the seats seem very low to that raised floor ? Or did you make a riser to bring up the height of the seats that the rails can attach to ?

  • @darrenj3267

    Like many others have, i have fitted a drip strip above the door. I used a B and Q 9mm plastic tile end trim quadrant trimmed down on the flat edge and sikaflexed up. That stops a lot of rain getting to the seal. But i also wonder if the seals are genuine oem as i looked at some cheaper after market ones for my van and they werent quite the same as the original ones

    • @VanologyConversions
      @VanologyConversions  6 месяцев назад

      The strip the customer sent to us was an aftermarket seal so did think this may not have helped the situation.

    I ❤ watching this channel.. I didn't realise you could run the DC - DC charger live feed cable that long from front of the van to where you have it located at the back., I'd love to know how you've achieved that. Great job folks, the builds are getting better & better.. 😎

    • @VanologyConversions
      @VanologyConversions  6 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks mate, any of the cables can be run the full length of the van but you have to take voltage drop into consideration based on the length and adjust the cable size to suit 👊🏻🚐

    • @bradlock76
      @bradlock76 6 месяцев назад

      @@VanologyConversions 😊 this is Brilliant Stu, you've given me some great ideas to adapt to my own Citroen Relay build. I just about to rip the bulkhead out to start this actual wiring process, I know you are a busy bee.. But did you run the cables inside the van or run those outside underneath?

    • @VanologyConversions

      On this van we run them under the van inside a conduit and clipped 👍🏻

    Great, simple build with maximum attention to detail! We have the Vauxhall Movano 2019 plate and have the same issue on sliding door :( The door has a main seal like other doors but the sliding door also has a P seal that runs along the top of the door. So far have tried adjusting the door to bring closer to van but still leaking in top corners in heavy rain. Sorry I cant help with this but seems to be a common issue on these vans sadly.

    I notice you haven't used the 'standard' Skorva mounting bracket on the fixed bed - I'm looking to do something similar to avoid the Skorva beam sitting too low. What are those 90deg brackets you have used please?

    • @VanologyConversions
      @VanologyConversions  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi mate we use heavy duty angle brackets from Screwfix, we do have trim the one side down slightly so they fit nicely inside of the skorva. I find the original brackets both bring it too low but they also rattle as they are not fixed 👍🏻🚐

    Hey Stu!
    Great build, I have the same van which im currently building out, however, I have never found any swivel plate for the doubleseat and was about to try to get a single seat, but here in sweden the regulations are very strict which means my car probably won't go through the inspection if I change for a single seat... Congrats on NOT covering up the over-cab shelf with a stoopid tiny opening 👍 I have had two Transits with bigger shelves than this van, completely open but with a small lip at front, and over 8 years I never had anything fall down.
    You need small lips at front of all shelves to stop stuff falling out when you open the doors, and on that cubby hole too.
    Still cannot understand the groove under the worktop 🤔🤔

    • @VanologyConversions
      @VanologyConversions  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you. The groove is there so if water was to drip down the sides and then under the worktop the drip channel would stop it there so it didn’t continue to go into the cabinets 👊🏻
