Hi mate, great videos. I'm at the start of my own conversion on a Boxer. Been scratching my head on the best way to side panel. I like your idea, only question i have is any worries with removing the drivers side wall to roof brace section? Could it be structural?
Morning bud, for me it’s the best way to do it with out losing too much on the width space. The knuckle is very well known to be taken out. I did some stress tests in the area after I removed it and it was fine mate

@@VanologyConversions that's great. Thanks. Appreciate the quick reply too. Looking forward to the progress on the next video. The wing mirrors or the windows? I get the windows from leisure vehicle windows and the wing mirrors off eBay but make sure the drivers side mirror has the temp sensor in it 👍🏻
It’s about a 450mm shorter so would really struggle to get a shower in there without compromising seating. I guess it’s doable but I think if you wanted all the boys in it then it’s gonna feel compacted
Can you please tell me. No one ever mentions it. But how many miles do you get to the gallon from this vehicle. Round town and on a Run. Please. Ps really enjoying watching your vlogs. Many to catch upon yet. But looking forward to each and every one. Regards Bri

@@VanologyConversionsThanks Mate 😆.... 😅😅😅 will do... I spotted them earlier on Magnum and messaged them aswell.. they do another one much dearer wondered what the difference was...I only need one for the rear don't I? The other fan will fit nice and flat where they would stick the air-conditioners on the roof at the front. Or do you use 2? 🤔
I couldn’t tell the difference other than the price mate, I used two as I wanted the front skylight to come into the van little to shed some natural light on the kitchen 👍🏻
@@VanologyConversions Yeah, that's good to know. I ordered 2 in any case. Gives me options then. Looking forward to seeing yours all done and onto the next one. I'm liking that Anthracite carpeted roof. Was going to add a few battens too mine and some strip LEDs just for a feature. I'll see how I get on. Working full time it's just getting on it with my spare time. I can't remember but did you just screw your ply strips for the framing or rivnut them in places? I'm hoping to sit my bed further back into the back doors because the shower trays I've seen will over hang my window the same side you've got yours. Not seen anything yet but I know it can be done. I really liked the tanking of your shower room.. I wanna get a fixed casette toilet in there aswell and withdraw the cassette from under the bed or into the walk way between the shower room and kitchen cabinets. Love the way you crack on very organised and professional. I think I've learnt more in your intense build videos then I have from anyone else. It's good for me because im fairly handy but this will be the 1st time I've converted a van to a camper so all a learning curve. All the best mate 👌🏻

Another great video Nice to see a channel showing all the small things alongside the big things, that’s what makes this one great One question though, how come you’ve sacrificed 3 seats in the front to go for just 2 ? 🤙🏻🍊
Thanks mate, I didn’t want it to be a how to series but I think I got the balance just right. One thing I hated on my crafter conversion was not being able to get to the habitation area from the cab and as this van is a 2 berth then made sense to put two singles up front to allow the pass through, ultimately I think it would be more desirable for someone looking for a 2 berth van 👍🏻

You lucked out with the single seat, prices of single seats is mental! been looking for ages and refuse to pay over £500 for one!
The prices on them are stupid but it’s because they are in demand I guess 🚐
What depth PIR board have you used in the sides please mate? Thanks. Really enjoying this series
Hi mate, I used mostly 50mm pir but in some areas where there is cable conduit I’ve dropped to 25mm 👍🏻
@@VanologyConversions that's great. Thanks. Appreciate the quick reply too. Looking forward to the progress on the next video. I was originally going to run my electrics back to the "garage" but actually the more I think about it the more running it back to as close to the cab as possibly makes sense now as I'll use lots less cable. Food for thought there 👍🏻
Exactly less cable but also less voltage drop 👍🏻
What skylights have you used?
I’ve used the maxxair skylights 👍🏻
Hi stu, met you guy last Xmas in aviemore, wondering if you can sent link for new wingmirror drivers side, looking on ebay by not sure which one to order, the one you fitted is the one I need, thanks for any help bro, Eddie and Maggie aviemore, keep up the good work
Hi Guys hope your both doing well, I bought them as a pair but I’ve gone online and found the one you need bud 👍🏻 www.ebay.co.uk/str/lmdlightingsmirrorsdirect?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ui6__WqOTBO&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=W0uvmp2xQvO&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Thanks for the reply and link much appreciated breaks your heart when van gets hit but glad to say nobody hurt thanks again
We've just bought a Boxer too and have now subscribed! We have the same mirror problems and like your window with the mozzie net. Do you have a link for these please? They're not on your Amazon items, though that is going to be useful too. Cheers P&K
The wing mirrors or the windows? I get the windows from leisure vehicle windows and the wing mirrors off eBay but make sure the drivers side mirror has the temp sensor in it 👍🏻
@@VanologyConversions thanks. The Leisure Vehicle Windows pricelist looks a bit involved but I'll try and get the right ones!
Call them they are very helpful 👍🏻
Wondering, is the MWB version much shorter or even too short for a viable conversion?
It’s about a 450mm shorter so would really struggle to get a shower in there without compromising seating. I guess it’s doable but I think if you wanted all the boys in it then it’s gonna feel compacted
@@VanologyConversions 👍
What thickness of insulation did you use? Was it 25mm everywhere? 😊
I use 25mm on the floors and ceiling for this model and 50mm on the walls 👍🏻
@@VanologyConversions Cool, thanks mate. Finished van looked great 😃
Thank you 👍🏻
love vids any chance i can buy your old double seat it same patten as mine ive just started to build need 5 seats in mine thanks
Send me an email mate info@vanologyconversions.co.uk 👍🏻
Hi. Is this reserved? On look out for a camper. Thanks
Hi Martin, this van is for sale. Price will be about £24k. Also open to make changes to the build to suit owner 👍🏻
@VanologyConversions emailed you mate 👍
Can you please tell me. No one ever mentions it. But how many miles do you get to the gallon from this vehicle. Round town and on a Run. Please.
Ps really enjoying watching your vlogs. Many to catch upon yet. But looking forward to each and every one. Regards Bri
Vans and engines variations differ, but I can tell this van doing about 35mpg when I brought it home 👍🏻
Solid work Stu, hat off. Cheers Albert 🇳🇱 P.S. Do you have these sliding windows at Amazon?
I don’t no but the company is leisure vehicle windows mate 👍🏻
looking grt cant wait for the finished results following
Thanks Phil, nor me 😂
Was hoping to see you cut the window hole on the sliding door.
I talked and showed the procedure but on the next van I’ll be sure to include in more detail 👍🏻
@@VanologyConversions Thanks. Trying to make as many notes as possible for my eventual build.
Hiya Mate, loving your build and have watched all your videos so far.. quick question where did you get the roof vent plastic corrugated base plates from?
Can you post a link
All the best pal 👍🏻
Thanks mate 👊🏻 I get them from magnum motorhomes on their eBay channel, here’s the link mate www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204373890146?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1Z8ITokcSKC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=W0uvmp2xQvO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY ps leave some for me 🤪
@@VanologyConversionsThanks Mate 😆....
I’m glad they are helping mate, I do like a slatted ceiling rather than just a large plain one 👍🏻 send us some pics when our done love a bit of van porn 🤣
Another great video
Nice to see a channel showing all the small things alongside the big things, that’s what makes this one great
One question though, how come you’ve sacrificed 3 seats in the front to go for just 2 ?
@@VanologyConversions fair one, I have a two seater swivel in the front of mine and I can climb over but I know it’s not the best way to do it especially at my age now lol
Looking forward to video 4
Lovely job so far buddy and yes you did deserve that drink the other night but please don't tongue and groove the ceiling, panel and carpet it I think tongue and groove looks so 70s❤
Thanks Jim, Now I like a carpeted roof as long as it has the slats, I think this is what I’ll end up doing on this van 👍🏻
Hiya. Do you sell these too? Thanks
Hi, yes we do, this one is for sale 👍🏻
would you be looking at taking on a subscibers van ?
100% mate 👍🏻
ok can we talk ?
Yes of course my email is in the description mate 👍🏻
Great videos. Just two icks.... can you show us more of the building process instead of before and after. And because we watch both your channels we are seeing thing twice. And now we know you're potentially building the bed in the next video. #blamethewife #ikea
Thank you, I can certainly get more of the detailed parts of the build in 👍🏻 there will always be a little bit of cross over between the two channels
It looks great but could you show bit more of you actually doing some of the work.
Quite right, check next video out 👍🏻
Looking good Stan and you're very fast and professional! Love watching these.
Thank you 💙
