@Basios Rasian What I'm saying is that Palpatine didn't have to spend much money in the GAR since they were gonna end up winning anyways. Bruh i search up order 69 and this is what i get Order 69 was one of many orders in a series of contingency orders which the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic were programmed with. @@bullbuster944 where did you get the idea that the republic has a better navy? Even under the assumption that the republic navy would win an all out battle if all the vessels from both sides clash head on (very very very unlikely that they would win anyways), the numbers advantaged still meant they would cover more reach, establishing more territorial control and providing more supplies to create even more vessels and infantry
@aster4405 The Republic had more production capability (it had more worlds). The republics Navy was a bit less powerful at the start of the war, but by mid to end, the fleets were far more numerous as they didn't need to produce a fuck load of droids. Ultimately, a large droid army means nothing once the space battle is won. What would droids do without power and a commander? The Sith Empire (and by extension the Eternal Empire) was a monument to a madman that wanted to eat the galaxy. It was enforced by power hungry Sith that would team up together to kill their masters which would lead to the tendency to have each generation of Sith become overall weaker than the last because the student wouldn't become superior to their master before they offed the master to continue the cycle of master and apprentice. They would also tend to fight for dominance and glory in the Empire they were desperately trying to maintain through war with the Old Republic which caused huge inefficiencies and needless deaths of many of the high ranking Sith of the time. The best example is how Darth Malgus split the Empire when he caused an insurrection and proclaimed himself the new Sith Emperor. The fact the CIS was able to keep up production during war and keep the factories hidden and safe. While somehow never running out money/resources blows my mind.
The fact that the cis just rolled up at coruscant and said f u to the republic's face is a show of power. Not many factions have the resources to attack what's pretty much a capital for the galaxy.
Well the Sith Empire came to Corrusant, conquered it and the Jedi Temple in a really short amount of time and managed to keep it. It only lost Corrusant (gave it away) as part of a peace treaty with the old Republic!
The CIS is underrated AF. They just used their droid army way too inefficient. They can produce a big number of soldiers in a short time, that don’t need any training, which is a really big advantage against the other fractions.
If Palpatine hadn't kept them from producing all the droids they could, they would have easily been a lot more powerful. But Palpatine had it all planned out for the Republic to win. All part of his grand plan.
The Eternal Empire should definitely be in here somewhere. Not only did they have a vast armament, they also had the Rakatan Fleet. They were very impressive, with each ship being able to destroy a planet. But it is no competition. The Eternal Fleet is the biggest of all time, made out of Iokath Technology and commanded by SCORPIO Droids, it could pound its opponents to shreds. The Knights of Zakuul weren’t your average Jedi or Sith either. They used the force as a tool for justice in the Zakuulan Empire. They were tasked with protecting Valkorian and his children. They were soldiers and city sentinels. They also took both aspects of the light and dark sides of the force. Nothing was off limits to them and they were fierce warriors. The First Order would have become the Last Order real quick if they ever went up against them.
Eternal Empire could honestly probably be closer to 1st. The clones are hard to outmatch, but the ranks of their empire are advanced droids and Knights with advanced force abilities.

At the same time though, one could argue that Valkorion is the ultimate trump card, but in my head canon Anakin would be able to defeat him because if he reached his fullest potential in the Force (given that he never turned) … Anakin essentially would have been a walking Force Nexus. Though, it would be interesting to know how Palpatine would have adjusted his grand plan if there was a credible threat to his position like Valkorian. The Republic, sure, if refitted to be brought up to peer technology. The GAR is pretty awful once you get past it's elite. It didn't have that large of a main fleet or that many clones, only a few billion at most clone troopers on a galactic scale. For comparison WWII had more than a billion active military personnel. Most of the GAR was made of sector fleets and planetary armies. It was very patchwork and ineffective, especially for it's size. If it went full aggression right from the start all out like the clone commanders wanted to, go effectively Mandalorian, it could at least put up a strong fight with it's elite center to try and break the logistical chain before attrition and multiprong attacks break them. Jedi would have to be removed from command though for any chance of it being successful. The Galactic Empire? Hahaha no. The Galactic Empire had an enormous and fully centralized and organized military. Just in garrisons for Imperial-Class Star Destroyers it's elite Stormtrooper Corps numbered in the trillions. One Dark Trooper Mk II could kill an entire small cruiser. It had 30,000 ISDs, each of which carrying truly ludicrous weapons arrays and advancements in plasma weaponry that outstripped any other turbolasers of their period. The Galactic Empire through sheer logistics alone wipes every single other military in Star Wars. The Galactic Empire might be wounded, but the second it gets a solid target it could send thousands of ISDs in full formation. It only takes three ISDs a few hours to melt a world, and they can sustain in that kind of firepower for a substantial amount of time. The main flaw of the Galactic Empire was that only a few people could lead it. Tarkin, Vader, and maybe Thrawn were the only ones who had the positions, power, and skill to keep the empire from dissolving into infighting over a power vacuum if the Emperor was missing and thus gaining it's own splinter factions as it's greatest enemies. The Galactic Empire, unified, is essentially unchallenged in conventional direct conflict within Star Wars.

It didn't last long. The confederacy had the biggest army over time. The clones were made to compete with the confederacy. Starwars was the foundation to Mass Effect. In short period biological creatures are able to corporate but machines are single unity. This fight is as well seen in LOTR where the world changes to explosives and crossbows from chivalry. Equally the new weapon is blasters and the lightsaber is a weapon from a past civilization. Machines like androids are seen skeptically making people in servitude to robots. If you are refering to the first sith empire which ended up destroying itself, then let me correct you; The sith empire would mop the floor with all mentioned
The Rebel Alliance used guerilla warfare, hit & run tactics, and engaged in small skirmishes that they knew they could win, it didn't have the capacity to wage a full scale intergalactic war against the Empire. They re-used Republic-Era ships and fighters, and had a fleet of mainly whatever they could get their hands on, which is why it looks so all-over the place, with all the the different manufacturers. Them attacking the second Death Star was a big deal, because they risked getting their entire fleet destroyed. Completely misplaced in this ranking.
Palpatine needed to hide the truth behind the creation of the clone army, thus maintaining the status quo of the senate, by destroying Kamino and keeping the cloning experiments top secret, along with replacing the clones he ensured erasing all evidence of the great plot against the republic and the jedi. Let's not forget that the rebellion of the clones begins from the moment in which the Empire begins to imprison, kill and appropriate the planetary systems that the clones had previously protected, even in the series and novels there are dialogues in which they wonder if they are different from Separatist droids. By adding all the factors, Palpatine has no choice but to renew the empire's army with citizens of the galaxy who need employment, are cheaper than clones and who would hesitate much less not to obey orders such as executing citizens, because they do not they fought the war and did not create ties with the people.

The same applies for the FO, they have more than enough point defense to manage, not to mention that unlike both the Empire and CIS, their fighters have shields so they would not be weak individually in dogfights, especially since the vast majority of clone pilots were incredibly poorly trained, with only some aces who had received Mandalorian training from Fenn Rau and his Mando Protectors, who we see in SW Rebels flying fang fighters. Z-95s were the best fighter the Republic had to offer, but again, without proper training, it was harder to use them effectively.

@Basios Rasian What I'm saying is that Palpatine didn't have to spend much money in the GAR since they were gonna end up winning anyways. @@bullbuster944 where did you get the idea that the republic has a better navy? The republic navy had better vessels for sure but like their army counterparts the CIS navy still outnumbers them by a lot. Logistically, the clones had a very small chance of winning if it was an all out war.
The whole plot of the movie was that the Republic had a 2nd bloody whole army and fleet that was deployed during the battle of corasont. Ultimately, a large droid army means nothing once the space battle is won. What would droids do without power and a commander? It's simply just a dismantling when you compare the time and time again when a small clone army has thought of hordes of droids for weeks and held out long enough for supplies, a droid army couldn't do the same

The Knights of Zakuul weren’t your average Jedi or Sith either. They used the force as a tool for justice in the Zakuulan Empire. They were tasked with protecting Valkorian and his children. @@technoisthegoat223 Agreed, but the Republic army also had the full support of the Jedi Order in - arguably - its prime. The Jedi were no push overs in battle either, so I think when you factor that into the equation it would probably come down to a war of attrition … At that point it’s hard to say who could pull more resources as the Kaminoans could produce clones quite efficiently.
@@nicholaswong6737 If the Sith Empire existed at the same time as the Clone Wars Republic and the Empire it would easily challenge them.

@cod G.I? you mean kathleen kenedy since lucas sold it to disney and this was also in episode 4 and 6 literally did no shit (writers most likely dead or retired)
You wish the gakactic republic was stronger than the galactic empire... The republic at its highest pint had about 3 million troopers as official sources state while the empire had around 272 million stormtroopers alone on their 25.000 star destroyers (9.700 per star destroyer) and that does not include the ones on ground, space stations, other vessels and you also have to take into account that the stormtroopers where only the "elite" soldiers.
Sith Empire was actually stronger then the alliance because they had more recources and much more valuable planets
Plus trained Sith warriors and inquisitors and troopers and had both mandolorians ,hutts and a few senators to join them. Not to mention Darth Vitiate the 1,500 year old Sith who could (possibly)give Yoda a run for his money in force abilities (Yoda would slap in lightsaber combat)
Yet, The rebel Alliance won a galaxy wide gorilla war against the Galactic Empire, that was way stronger then them
@@LT_SilverThe idea is that the rebels never gave up and fought till the end, They have less recource and power

My favourite army is the eternal empire. It was so powerful but people just don't talk about it enough.
i think the sith empire should've been at least 2nd for sure they had a fairly descent balance of disposable military assets in droids and similar but also more powerful and numerous elite units then any of the other factions like they had a whole species of force users as part of the core of their military no other group had that

Imagine the Grand Army of the Republic vs Galactic Empire, would be fun to see Clones fighting against stormtroopers
I don't want to be based but the empire would win as much as I love the clone army and the good characters they wouldn't win the empire has a much stronger navel force plus Darth Vader as you know plus stormtroopers who didn't have as much training as the clones but the empire has a much bigger army the empire would lose In the early days but that wouldn't be fair
@@zakkmarchantGround fighting would see the republic smahing the empire 1 to 10 but if you factor in the fleets things change
That depends, are we talking about Crack stormtroopers who's quality is like the U.S Marines in the comics and video games and books?
Or stormtroopers who's incompetent because of plot armor because the protagonist had plot armor?
We have seen clones fight against stormtroopers in rebels and even the bad batch
@@zakkmarchant the grand army has over 1000+ jedi while the empire only has Vader and palpatine tbh
FOR THE REPUBLIC!!! - commander thorn and probably every loyal clone
The Sith Empire can easily destroy the rebels and the galactic empire with just a snap of their fingers. Not only they had the most powerful super weapons ever existed, but they had millions of soldiers and Sith.
Jobs create power over the lords. This power was changed from biological to machinery. That's why all androids as well are included as potential assets in a war effort and why the confederacy only getting stronger.

Old Republic joins the chat
Empire leaves the chat
Im a fan of the old republic but you are wrong. Its a film so the rebels won. If it was any sort of realistic then the empire would sneeze and the rebels would disintegrate. The old republic was a strong military but its soldiers were on par with the sith soldiers but unlike the old republic that had weak jedi, the empire had battle hardened sith that live a lifestyle of war. I thibk most peoplenforget that the only reason the eternal empire (which is arguably THE strongest) fell was due to people like revan and malgus who had knowledge and power from both sides of the force. Sith practice and study the force as a whole while jedi are scared of the dark side.
The G.A.R.’s clone production stopping was palatines fatal flaw. He could’ve been unstoppable
@fuuruur the reality is that Palatine thought they were too expensive
No it wasn't
I like how it says that the cis is not as strong as the rebel empire 💀
with b2s, commandos, destroyers, and a general able to fend off 6 jedi in his prime, you did the seppies dirty
If you are refering to the first sith empire which ended up destroying itself, then let me correct you; The sith empire would mop the floor with all mentioned
What about the Rakatan empire
Your forgetting Starkiller, he is a fucking army himself
Hes not a canon character though
I lowkey find it crazy that the Hutt Clans have managed to outlive almost everyone on this list.
Clones were ordered by a Jedi?
I would love to watch the GAR wipe the floor with the first order
First order hella incompetent they just like: “me make new big star destroyer that’s very flawed and hope it does a
The work for us without us strategizing”, the GAR airforce would’ve shit on what the first order was like.
@@ilikeships9333 They would not. Yes, later designs like the Dreadnought were terrible, but the Resurgence class was not just a bigger ISD. Its bridge wasn't exposed, it had proper anti-fighter weapons, it had better fighter hangars, the earliest models had kyber infused cannons. The republic fleet meanwhile is the worst fleet in the SW films. The Venator on its own is terrible, Republic fighters were terrible, the only remotely good thing is the Y-wing and FO fighters have shields so they can survive long enough to destroy those. The republic has consular corvettes and Artiquens which are actually good, but they are few and far between. The Acclamator as a warship is garbage, and by the time Acclamator 2s come out the war is pretty much over. VSDs are the best ships in the Republic's arsenal, but they had the same problem as Acclamator 2s.
@@tk-6967 the venator relied on its fightings and bombers doing the work idk what you mean by their fighters were trash some like the z95 would be very outdated but they had a wings y wings and arcs which were not great but could still most likely hold their own, the republic should of had a more dedicated destroyer and battle cruisers but the venators would be cheaper then most star destroyers bring more fighters and was still pretty durable, if you put a even cost of ships on both sides I think the republic would do well.
@@tk-6967 also I wasn’t talking about the fleet in the first place just the airforce they could bring into battle and the first orders over reliance on having a few giant ships.
@@ilikeships9333 They did not have A wings. And as I mentioned, Y wings would not matter because they only survived their runs due to the lack of enemy anti-fighter guns during the empire, and even in the biased TCW battles, Separatist ships were able to destroy Y wings since they have point defense (anti-fighter) guns.
Sith Empire is by far the strongest empire in Star Wars!
If only more Sith thought about empire the same way like Darth Marr...
it seems strong because it had thousands of sith but they were actually quite weak, the sith were of lesser quality meaning that the republic soldiers at the time could actually kill the sith in melee combat. and since everyone was fighting each other it was quite disorganised.
