Burt was my Heroe when I was young, wanted to be a stuntman ,but I wanted to be like him , charismatic, funny popular...I miss him ,he was like a Father to me
I'm watching Hooper (again) as we speak, pausing the movie no worries hehe, 17-ish minutes in there is a scene with this little kid called "Pete" first thing I noticed he was wearing a pair of blue Nike LDV? (Long Distance Vector) sneakers (yellow swoosh). Just wondering, are these the first Nike sneakers in "Hollywood-film history"? This is 1978. Never saw Nike in a film pre-78. Grew up watching tv-series "Cheers". (1982) First time I remember back then wearing Nike trainers was "Carla Tortelli" character. From episode one she was wearing only Nike trainers, nothing else till last episode in 1993. Characters Sam Malone (Ted Danson) and Woody Boyd (Woody Harrilson) wore lots of Nike rugby sweaters and trainers as well. P.S. Turns out this lil kid "Pete" is the son of main actress Sally Field and Steve Craig. His name is Peter Craig. Who knew huh? lol Anyhoo, great movie classic. From The Netherlands I'm wishing you all a great life. 😉
Burt worked with Peter Bogdanovich twice and apparently didn't think much of him, as this director's a take off on him. Catch the films are "pieces of time" comment by Klein? That's the title of one of Peter's film books...
I rewatch this movie recently after about 35 years what are my favorite childhood movies…
Jan -Michael Vincent, James Best, Brian Keith, Burt Reynolds
All classics.
