On the drive section on the bottom of the plastic shell I saw some bolts. Take them off drill some holes on metal plates and reattach the bolts to protect the plastic casing. Put some mesh over the intakes to eliminate weed.
Another con is the big cord hanging out in the water. They should have a few clips that you can stick to the bottom of the board that you can clip the cord into. Keep it tight to the board and reduce drag.. however I agree with the other comments that this set up is a pretty good deal at €599. I’ve built several jet boards and parts alone are well over $1000 without the board. So kudos to aqua marina for getting a quality product out there for $650. Trust me that’s cheap.
Hah, if you're a WW kayaker like me you'd LOVE to be able to buy a good boat for around $750. WW hard shell kayaks here are going for $1200 or more these days.
As a sup fisherman I would prefer to use a sealed agm battery with 35 amp hours. For all day use as 2 hours per lithium pack is to small! Even 2 packs at 4 hrs is risky. I fish some very large inland reservoirs. Whith strong afternoon winds. This type of battery can be charged from vehicles alternator or a household battery charger. At 12v dc

I live next to the Waikato River in NZ this would really open up much more variation for me as I could then start my paddle with say an hour down river towards Port Waikato without assistance and then turn around and put it on full power coming back against the current. I would never dream of doing that now as you can get really caught out trying that with a paddle alone.
Yeah this will open up a lot of possibilities for people. Obviously you always want to make sure your equipment is in top condition and the battery is fully charged when going on any mini mission. Have fun I know the Waikato River would be amazing for it. You live in an epic country , Thanks Reuben

Unfortunately you would have to charge it using an inverter (which you would have to buy) to your 12V socket if you would want to use your car as it is only supplied with a mains three pin socket. hope that makes sense? Thanks Reuben
That kill cable looks awfully short, it's already very stretched on the short board in the demonstration. Probably wouldn't work with a 14 or 18 feet board? But we really need something with more power. :)

Hi I have a SIC hard board. There are no screws to hold the fin in place. You wack the fun up and slide it out to remove. I’m assuming that is a US box fin system? Is there more drag just paddling with the motor attached? Thanks in advance, Brent
Yes it seems to be a US fin box. You have a fin without screws (possible an FCS screwless fin?). And yes, there would be more drag when paddling with the motor attached. Thanks, Beau

I have the both aquamarina and itiwit boards. I have used the same fin on both boards. not sure if I used the itiwit fin on the aq board or the aq fin on the itiwit board.... give me a day and few days to confirm they fit both ways.
so, Itiwit fins fit in AQ boards, but aqua marina fins don't fit in Itiwit boards. It feels as though the fin can be force in.... it seems to be a few hairs wider. i'm sure sandpaper can do the trick.
You can get it to fit the newer Bluefin Cruise Carbon board, but unfortunately it wont fit the older boards. It needs a US fin box or slide in click fin box to work. Sorry about that and also sorry about the delay in getting back to you. Thanks and happy paddling Reuben

It does depend which model you have. If you have a US centre fin box, you can buy the adapter to fit. We don't think Freeing use a slot in fin box on some of their models, so it wouldn't fit. Hope this helps. Beau
I need help. Mine keeps switching of after 3 seconds when in the water, while it doesn't switch of out of the water. Does anybody have any ideas what I did wrong?
Using the bluedrive s with the tomahawk air k 375. First i was satisfied with the speeds, i go like 4km/h on first setting and 5km/h on second setring. But then: I have a left side drift, have to steer right often to keep tracking my course. This could be the kayaks build issue. Second cond, the power dies when having 2 blocks battery out of 4. After this i can keep using the motor for several seconds, then again dies The battery indicator isn'y correct. I feel like it never shows 1/4 battery, instead it shows 2/4 battery till it dies. Very unsatisfied with this product...
Thanks for your feedback on the Bluedrive. Reg the tracking i guess our weight distribution is key to getting the board or kayak to track in a straight line. I have done a bit of experimenting with this and I have managed to trim my last board I use it on in a straight line. @@SUPboardermag i have both the air k 375 and the 3 seater air C. tested it for a second time on the canoe and still i'm going constantly to the left direction, regardless of wind, without using my paddle. using my paddle, tried to push my weigth to left/right, still going left. using my paddle constantly tio steer forward also might use more power since the motor has more effort from water pressure. For the battery it lasted like 48minutes in low speed only and the battery showed still 2 blocks of batter. The battery was not 100% dead, if i could go for another 10min extra, woudl be fine, so the cells are still OK. Contacted the shop where i bought the product, they said everything is normal as which i expected. It's fine i'll keep the power fin but i'm just very dissapointed with it 😅
We are testing a few others at the moment and will be looking t this product again next spring - so stay tubed for more e-SUP content! The Blue Drive will be available in 2023 without battery, allowing users to select their own battery pack.
@@SolarPowerChannelwithChris took the plunge and ordered it from Banggood around 300 GBP. Tested it out of the water.. all looks good and functional. Had to modify the mounting to fit my Decathlon SUP (Itiwit). Took a bit of doing.. used a Dremel and 220 grit sand paper. Fits perfectly now.. but took about 3 hours of careful shaping (the AQUA Marina mount is rectangular but the itiwit female mount is tapered). Taking it out with the kids this afternoon.. fingers crossed!

Like an electric bike turn it off when going down hill and on the flat only use it for assistance when going up hills. Double the battery life. 😀😃😄😁😆😅🤣😂
Fin attachments are not all the same on every board. If you have a slot box or slide in fin box, this fin will fit. If you have a US centre fin box in your board, you can buy an attachment to fit the fin. Hope this helps. Thanks, Beau

I'm skinny fat and get worn out paddling rather quick especially with my son on so this looks like an amazing product

You could probably attach the kill cord part way up your leash in a way that it still works if you fall off.

Agree that's why you need to use it carefully.
Battery life is way too short, and even the top speed is slower than my touring average. But looks good, promising stuff for the price.

@@SolarPowerChannelwithChris Worked a treat! Tested it in a marina (in Singapore), so not exposed to open sea and no real currents. We're planning on taking it out next weekend to some of the smaller islands around Singapore - open seas and stronger currents. Will let you know how we do (assuming we survive the experiment!).
Like an electric bike turn it off when going down hill and on the flat only use it for assistance when going up hills. Double the battery life. 😀😃😄😁😆😅🤣😂

I am thinking on buying the electric fin, however the SUP is not the same brand, does anyone know if the fin attachment point is standard on all sups?
Fin attachments are not all the same on every board. If you have a slot box or slide in fin box, this fin will fit. If you have a US centre fin box in your board, you can buy an attachment to fit the fin. Hope this helps. Thanks, Beau
