With roots in the very origins of electronic music, AIRA is a new series of products designed to meet the evolving needs of today's electronic musicians. In the studio or on the stage, AIRA brings genre-defining sounds and modern performance features to a new generation.
While computers dominate so many music production activities today, artists still seek inspiration through the sonic character and responsive feel of traditional analog hardware. AIRA products emphasize the spontaneous creativity and hands-on performance inspired by these vintage electronic instruments, while integrating neatly into today's computer-based production environments.
Behind the authentic sound and responsive behavior of the AIRA products is the newly developed Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology. ACB faithfully captures the sound and feel of living, breathing instruments, including some of Roland's most revered classics.
Beyond their impressive sound and modern versatility, AIRA products feature essential elements for active stage performers and avid tweakers. This means solid build-quality, straight-forward operation and striking good looks.
AIRA combines the organic sound and behavior of ACB with modern effects like Scatter and thoughtful USB integration with computers and DAWs. Through inspiring, highly playable designs, AIRA products deliver a seamless creative experience that shatters the boundaries between production and performance.

Nice t-shirt! Great presentation, in terms of not just the modules themselves but the integration. I also don't like a lot of talking but in this case I didn't mind

welcome back Roland!:-)) " good Sound you always had,
but if the World gets smaller every day, do you had to come back with something large like a Super Tanker. well I see this Analog to Software converting / modeling thing is a highly integrated circuit, but beside from the very cool appearance did it need to be so so Large.
    my best regards.
    peace,,!!.

These sound pretty good although the do sound like emulations. The prices are reasonable, but I am doubtful about the follow through plug-out models. I know they think this is supposed to be a step forward, but it really seems like the same old gear
in a new package. There are too many new and interesting analog instruments out for me to get excited about this. I will try one if they get it in a local music store.

Can you use it is the question?

I think Roland used to be a really good company but Korg and Novation and M Audio and Akai to name just a few are cheaper and better. Roland are still good but haven't done anything as good as they used to for so long. This Aira kit does look and sound pretty cool to be honest but I already have kit that can do what these things can do and more. The TB3 seems a bit of a copy of the KP3 in the way you can control it with the touch pad. The Korg Volca bass is very simple and can produce very nice sounds as good as TB3 and is very cheap.

i also have the volca bass and its pretty damn close to a 303 but no matter how much you try you cant find that squelchy wet sound that only the 303 delivers,

I love the VT-1 and have been wanting a follow up for years. However, I am sick and tired of hearing the TR-808 and TR-909 everywhere, and facepalm at the notion of a TR-8 so it kind of...evens out.

If you're looking for a pure demonstration of the product, this video is like the exact opposite of that. Thanks tho.

These are pretty pointless, why would you want to remake a 303, 808 or 909? They are old technology and most people (apart from trap music producers) would agree that all of the sounds are tired and played out. What they should have done was made these Arias generic midi controller devices without any actual synth hardware, marketed like that I think more people would have a use for them especially if the price is right.

Nothing unique, just emulating replicas. Analog wannabe devices.
I wouldn't even accept these cheap Roland stuff as a gift.
Roland is not about uniqueness for a log time and they have not produced anything unique for many years. They are just using the new analog hype to sell these digitally emulated replicas of analog classic devices. They could have at least made these replicas in Analog, it would have been more respectful.

Why you trolling all the Aira videos if your not interested?

I'm not 'not interested' and i'm not trolling. I'm just disappointed with Roland. I think what they are doing is irresponsible and wrong.

Tonguç Endem stop re-posting then ya bore - fake analog is better than real analog anyways...

    • @Mr_ToR
      @Mr_ToR 10 лет назад

subsub808 The only advantage of fake is that it is cheaper than the original, besides that it's never the same thing. Don't delude yourself. Fake is not only applicable to musical instruments, it's a universal concept. Chinese make even a fake car. There's a fake of almost everything. Roland shouldn't have made fakes of these legendary machines. I can not stop you to think that fake of something is better than it's original. I wouldn't think that and wouldn't advise it to anyone. You do what you want. Buy don't think that these AIRA stuff is the same thing as their original, they may sound similar but they are cheap imitations at the end. I bought my real TR-808 and second TB-303 after these ARIA shit were released. If you want their sound, believe me there are cheaper options.
