+Gerson Asper or "prego" as people say up north! Bifanas too... and great goat dishes too, go to the region near Coimbra and you'll have amazing goat stew called chanfana
I don't want to be a bummer here, but you are completely wrong about all the things that you said, except for the fact that Pasteis de Belém are amazingly delicious, which of course they are. Now, correction time, he is indeed referring to the "Bolas de Berlim do Zé Natário" in Viana do Castelo, city mentioned in one of his other videos, which do indeed have cinnamon. Sorry to contradict you, just thought I should set the record straight ^_^
Ohh... But in this movie he was talking about Belem... Either way I didn't knew about the cinnamon in Natario's bolas de Berlim.. I really have to go there and taste them...
+Prepare to Serve! Great to know you enjoy my country's food! Good feedback and you really expressed some happiness while talking about the food haha :). And yes, we have TONS of codfish (bacalhau) recipes and dishes with rice. Have you ever tried our Arroz de Pato (duck rice)? I dare you to google it and click on the images tab, it's delicious. And I'm quite happy with our pastries and bread as well. If you ever come back here, try to visit Sintra (part of Lisbon district). On Sintra's historical town, go ahead and visit the Piriquita cake/coffee shop. It's always full of costumers, and try one of the mostly famous pastries of Portugal, the Travesseiro. Or even the Queijadas. You can also go up north and try their sweets and cakes, many are made of tasty egg cream...well, my country is for who really likes to eat :). We actually have some pastries/cakes with a lot of sugar, if you try some from Algarve. I believe in the US you guys have your bread and cakes even more sweet than ours, there's a bunch of sugar on them as you said, no wonder so many have diabetes hehe. We get easily addicted to sugary things :). Cheers!
One of the things that wasn´t mentioned is the natural ingredients that are still used to make the Portuguse dishes. That´not rocket science but in most of the biggest countries in the world, processed food is used in large quantities to feed their oversized populations. Since we are much less we still know what we are eating, in most of the cases. Thus simplicity can become quite complex with Portuguese food.... Armando Caetano www.thebestportugal.com/
+Sir Zorg No... he clearly talking about the "Bolas de Berlim" from Zé Natário in Viana do Castelo... They are the best in the country and probably in the world!
It´s irrelevant whether I am portuguese or not, he really did said bolas de berlim, I misunderstood the 1st time, but by the description (waiting lines, sugar and cinnamon) I though he referring to pasteis de nata, waiting lines to get bolas de berlim is something new to me, anyway I was not aware that in some areas cinnamon is used in bolas de berlim.
I travel a lot and for me, Portuguese food is the best in the entire world!
+Peter Coimbra YES
Gosh, the guy is almost drooling while talking! He really is visualizing what is talking about! :D

Portuguese food is the best. I am not saying that as a Portuguese woman. It's just bomb
His face talking about the pastries is just EPIC, pure nostalgia ah ah ah! xD
Ok bolas de Berlin are good but what about pastéis de Belém? Those are the typical and most known on Portugal pastry.
Cheers.
I miss portuguese bread.
LOVE PORTUGAL SO PROUD TO BE Portuguese
I think when he says burger on the rice he means just the meat
Ana Rita Teixeira I think you're right :)
+AR. T Yes that's what he meant. it's called bitoque as Angela pointed out
+Gerson Asper or "prego" as people say up north! Bifanas too... and great goat dishes too, go to the region near Coimbra and you'll have amazing goat stew called chanfana
No cinnamon in Bolas de Berlim, but probably the lines are for the Pasteis de Belém, really good custards with a special egg cream... To die for,.. :P

It isn't "bolas de berlim"....It is named "pastéis de belém"
What he described is bolas de berlim.
Pasteis de nata is another type of pastry.
Antonio tens k ouvir o k ele descreve com atenção.
Wada Bada
You are right :)
depend where you are here is bola de berlum
not "balls of berlim" but "pasteis de berlim"
testerpt5 pastéis de Belém or generically pastéis de nata
"Pasteis de nata" and "pasteis de de Belem" look the same, taste different, I prefer a good "pastel de nata" to a " de Belem", but thats me
