I just can't believe that I was accepted to be a PhD visiting student at UC Berkeley with a fellowship from Brazilian governemnt. I'll arrive there next July :).
I heard that American swimmers had very little time out of the water (during the pandemic) because of the looser covid restrictions and also available private pools. Here in Canada the Olympic swimmers had about 3 months out of the water prior to Tokyo! It's amazing how well they competed! Seeing as you have an outdoor pool (very fortunate) did you have your training interrupted at all due to Covid?
Great question! We had lots of interruption in our training honestly. I was out for about 3 months (during 2020) but had mixed interruptions in 2021 for various reasons
Great question! It’s normally a bunch of protein and carb snack options that you can eat throughout the days such as yogurt, fruits, oatmeal, etc. You can also preorder lunch ahead of time and pick it up there as well. Lunch items vary every week.
hey kyle, I am a swimmer and my dream school has always been Cal, do have any suggestions for recruitment (for swimming) and what were your times like when you got recruited?
I will definitely be making a video on this in the coming future! Didn’t know we had so many Cal swimming fans, love to hear it! I would say just don’t be afraid to email as many coaches as possible. I’ll give some tips in my video about it!
Wow your life looks very fun but hard. I am a swimmer too and i love how dedicated you are, also this is the reason i want to go to college in america!
Wow. Are you taking a full course load? In Canada's, it's 5 per term. With practise, courses & studying is being tired an issue? I've have to take a nap! I love Chipotle, too.
Being tired is a constant in my life haha Yes the NCAA requires that we take a minimum of 13 units per semester which is around 4 classes. I have taken anywhere from 3-5 classes a semester.
