    You and your family can sneak out for a fresh tomato🍅 later on in the summer🌞👌

    I've been using them for ten years and whilst there handy for watering you'll find it's at the expense of taste and the longest they last is five days or less in summer .Always soak the wicks before planting and bury your tomatoes deep .

    I had a similar system last year with a Autopot EasytoGrow set up in my greenhouse, they were a bit more fiddly to set up but are a similar idea where by they are a more automated irrigation system meaning the plants take what they need when they need it and the tank only needs topping up occasionally. Worked really well for chillis and peppers last year. This year I decided to treat myself to the Quadgrows instead of the grow bags on trays I normally do for my tomatoes outside. I always struggle with the right amount of water in growbags and often end up with split tomatoes (too much water) or blossom end rot (inconsistent watering).
    I am really excited for this year's growing season now as the Quadgrows were a doddle to set up and will be really easy to keep and eye on how much water the plants are taking. And there are holes in the bases for plant supports too.

    Hi mark have to jump right in their with your video:-) about the quad grows . I brought 12 the other week and ohhh my god they are flipping AMAZING so I got a extra 8 to grow all my tomato plants and pepper plants etc . The ones I had in their for a five days has already grown like anything and that’s after the transplant shock . Can’t wait to use the feed . As it says you have to wait for the feed to run out from the new compost well a week before the the compost feed . I love them and will certainly be buying more for sure . My plants are loving their new home .

      Sounds like I might have made the right decision picking up a set of these. I'd been thinking about them for ages but finally decided to pull the trigger.
      Hoping they make it a whole lot easier to manage the watering over the summer. With the halo pots up at the allotment in the polytunnel I'm there at least every other day watering. I love being there but it can become a bit of a chore when I'm just there watering all the time 👍🌱👍

      @@marksallotmentplot ohh I think you will find mark that these will help you no end . I am lucky enough to have my land for the veg garden and the horses right at my house but I have been checking the water level every couple of days and their is still loads in their and it’s been hot in the polytunnel I certainly think it is going to be three weeks or their abouts till it needs topped up again . I got mine from greenhouse sensations I’m new to gardening but I can see me going daft on these things lol .

    Ill be interested to see how you go with them, ive come close to pressing ‘buy’ a couple of times 😂. Its not easy fitting everything in, i was down at the allotment at 8am this morning just sort out the poly tunnel, its been way too warm in there to get it ready for planting. Hopefully get the Toms in this week, time permitting of course! Id live to retire then i would just play in the dirt every day lol

      I've been thinking about getting some of these for ages and finally pulled the trigger on an 8 plant set.
      They're a little bit on the expensive side but if they save a load of hassle with watering and grow great plants then they'll be well worth it.
      Will hopefully get the rest of them planted up this week and the greenhouse emptied 👍🌱👍

    It's raining inside my cheap green polytunnel 😭 it has a seam right over the middle and the rain is coming through it. I've ordered some tape to try and patch it. I got stuck in tunnel today because of torrential rain but plants got a bit wet anyway 😢

    • @marksallotmentplot
      @marksallotmentplot  6 месяцев назад +1

      Awww hoping the repair tape does the trick. I had that big repair at the end of the tunnel a few weeks back and the tape seems to have done the trick.
      With a bit of luck this rain will have cleared off by the end of the week and then its onto clearing the up the weeds and the carnage caused by the army of slugs 👍🌱👍
