Hi Mark, your polytunnel is full of lovely healthy plants. Yes, it is great if you can just let the cucumbers to run wild! For me, I have to keep mine tidy. I do wish I could let some of them run free too. 🙂 great video update. Thanks for sharing and take care 🙂

I am trying to squish all the caterpillars on my kale here in New Zealand, and this is our winter. It is very unusual to be already getting the caterpillar troubles!

Loads of our cabbages and kale are getting attacked by slugs, butterflies & caterpillars. Nature is a difficult battle 😢

I'm totally jealous, Mark. I sowed Carmen F1 seeds, but for some reason, they're actually Marketmore cucumbers.! No idea how the mix-up has occurred. Thankfully, I do have 3 mini munch that are producing very well.
I've had 1 single red cherry tomato so far. There's loads of fruits, but all green.
My chilli peppers have loads on but not many ripe ones yet. Bell peppers are starting to change colour, though.
My san marzano has only just started producing tomatoes.
There is nothing on the courgettes yet, but I do have 2 honeydew melons growing 🎉
Seeing the little JB popping up made me smile 😃
Enjoy those Carmen. Next year, I will make sure the cucumbers don't get mixed up 😅😅😅

King of the North Peppers seem quite small plants but they always carry a lot of fruit. My recommendation for a sweet pepper is one called Lesya, sweetest pepper I've ever tasted, definitely worth a go, and the fruit are heart shaped!

Hi Mark. If you can, first try bringing boiling hot water to pour over the ground at the base of those weeds (around the edge of your poly-tunnel), before resorting to weed killers. Be careful of the plastic, in case it can't withstand the boiling water.

Nice update, Mark. Tangerine Dream looks a perfect size and colour to slice and throw into a salad. 😃👍🏻Growing Torro Rosso and Cal Wonder again. Both take too long for us really so might switch to tangerine dream which also seem more prolific. Had holes in the Cal Wonder last year. Didn’t check out what caused it cos they got blight and went black overnight.

Someone else I follow had holes in their peppers- turned out to be a caterpillar that bites it's way in and then lives in the pepper. I haven't had any damaged this year, touch wood, but it had me baffled alst year, when several of my fruits were damaged. At first I thought it was slugs, but no sign whatsoever of any slug, even late at night with a torch. Then a couple of times I blamed birds as they were flying out from the end of my greenhouse, where the peppers were growing. But on thinking it over, maybe the birds were seeking out the caterpillars? Happy gardening 🙂

Hi Mark, put a ripe banana in the polytunnel, the Ethylene gas it releases helps ripen everything up
