This dude is BAD on that guitar! He is rollin' on those strings effortlessly and his sound is nice! Soulful, funky, and polished without sounding watered down. One of the best smooth jazz artists ever.

I grew up listening to this guy! He is so amazing. Where is this that everybody around isn't even paying attention to him! They have no idea what they're missing.
Watch the guy at the entrance, really excited he walked in and saw Norman Brown! Again this guy is a legend already, thanks for sharing, Lydian is my favorite track, Kenny B :-)
@@travelingman9763 I love George Benson too but he copied a lot of his style from Wes Montgomery 🤷🏾♂️. Every generation gets inspired from their predecessors. Just like in any other field.

WTF he starts playing with the groove, sound, and magic of Wes & George, and people are still just poking around, disinterested. I would S*** my pants if I heard someone playing like that in some random trade show booth. Then again, this makes me wonder if I'm missing great things all around me. I agree folks wandering aimlessly in the presence of a master guitarist. It always amazes me that you either have the call to music, the ear for music or you don't. When I was younger I used to go to bars and rooms full of good music and observe the crowds most of whom were there to be seen caring little for the aural treats. The bar waitresses would comment ... "i'am here every night I don't hear it". Again, music either plucks the strings of your heart or it doesn't. It's a God given gift to be either a listener or a performer. Cherish the awareness that you are one of those chosen few, believe me it'll get you through the good times and the bad.
Great great great.don't know where to start .I've fathoming your technical approach to jazz lmpro.for years,Its stunning, idiosyncratic, unique ,spiritual magic mazing
Norman Brown.....you are awesome!!!!! I can't help but smile every time I hear you play. Your music has gotten me through some very hard time!!!! Thanks
maybe they are the platform owners/the real money people... and they just make money off the talent stream... and they could give a jack about a performer or entertainer even if it was George benson….
It is great to see the joy he still has playing a song that could very easily become a bore for others in his shoes who have to play the same songs over and over on a tour.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. Norman is a PHENOMENAL Guitarist and Musician. Real music & talent at it's finest. It's stuff like this that the World is desperately lacking in Mainstream Music. How could ANY real music lover just walk on by and not even pay attention to this when they obviously hear it? Even if they don't have the class to know who Norman Brown is. Amazing performance here. Greatly respected
Another one of my all time favorite artists! Got to see him live and would love to have another chance to do so. He radiates the love and joy he has for playing, just like the sun that brings us light every single day. Isn't this guy just awesome? Makes me smile every time I watch this video.
Up there with Tommy Organ, George Benson, and Earl Klugh...Norman Brown is beyond excellent! Mind blown performance with all these people walking around not once pay attention to excellence in front of their faces.
These guys have no idea what an opportunity they are missing. Free gig with Norman Brown in a music shop, and they are walking around. People will pay for this.
A lot of pentatonics applied with some bluesy technics and also a large amount of progressions in his playing. Note this first time I've watched this and my mind is blown away by his way of playing
Norman (basted in Benson, spice of Montgomery, added a little bit Metheny, a pinch of Jordan, dashed with Ritenour, and it all turned out clean, crisp and) Brown!
Beautiful Music , Playing wise he may fill Benson's shoes one day but I haven't heard him Sing and MR. BENSON has a Golden Voice . I don't think Anyone could Ever Fill his shoes , Thank GOD he's still with us .

Best part is he looked like he REALLY enjoyed giving everyone this upclose live performance! Norman..you tha' man!
Every time I see him play he seems like a good spirit player , always smiling ..That's Great ...Sounds good
After The Storm was my introduction to Norman Brown, 20 plus years ago. Still loving his music
Are these people behind on a different planet, how can you not sit and listen to that!!!!

No overdrive or high gain so it can’t be good
They're probably looking for the EVH booth 😄
I saw Norman at a San Diego Jazz Festival a few years back and nearly passed the hell out! The man is awesome at his craft!
You know you're a badass when you're playing your own song, on your own signature guitar, in a guitar shop.
Been loving his music for a LONG time! Get down Norman Brown!

Norman is a beast!!!!! Greatness
All I really see is the amount of non recognition to this legend, cause on this joint he on Fire!
I would lose my mind if I walked in there and saw him playing my favorite Norman Brown song. He’s definitely one of the best.
Most of the people there maybe doesn't even know who he is.. Not famous as Benson, but not less talented.. one of the best in his style.
Norman copied some of Benson and not the other way around! Most of today's musicians are clones!
He's like George's little brother.

Yeah right? I would be sitting so close to him he wouldn't be able to play! lol
Marco Deuce my sentiments exactly....I would've been on the floor
That is because no one knows jazz or fusion jazz players and the music is almost disposable.
maybe they are the platform owners/the real money people... and they just make money off the talent stream... and they could give a jack about a performer or entertainer even if it was George benson….
Beautiful ...
Smoooooth!!! I'm an instant fan, Sir! Cheers!!!
Thought of another way to describe Norman... He is entertained while he's entertaining us!
It's a delightful thing to see and enjoy.
He's the fan and the performer at the same time!

One of my favorite tracks from Norman Brown. He knows his way around the guitar 🎸. Thanks for posting this!
It is great to see the joy he still has playing a song that could very easily become a bore for others in his shoes who have to play the same songs over and over on a tour.

Brilliance and half the people walking around are clueless to Mr. Brown's technical perfection, wish I could've been in attendance!
I would be following him around, asking him questions, and just taking it all in. Definitely my favorite guitarist of all time
Norman is awesome.
Unbelievable playing (as always) by the great Norman Brown, and what a sweet guitar that Eastman is!! Thanks for capturing this for us to see!

Nice Job man! You can definitely recognize the George Benson influence in Norman's playing! Impressive!
John Fowler Jimmy Hendrix was his first, then Wes Montgomery, followed by GB. I met him in Tokyo, Japan back in 1996.
