  • Brian “Renfield” Nelson, was Alice’s archivist and personal assistant, from November 1980 until his death on June 12th 2009.
A fan since he heard ‘School’s Out’ in 1972, his first Alice Cooper concert was on New Year’s eve 1973 in Buffalo, New York (where he grew up), the last show the original band played in the USA.
He saw the Welcome to My Nightmare show in 1975, the 1977 (King of the Silver Screen) show, the Madhouse Rock (From the Inside) show in 1979, and the Flush the Fashion show in 1980.
When Alice hired him at the end of 1980, he saw every Alice Cooper show from the Special Forces tour onwards, until his sad death in 2009.
Brian played the cameraman who got impaled on The Nightmare Returns concert film, from Detroit on Hallowe’en night 1986.
(Tracy Dea played the role on the other dates)
Brian worked on the 4 CD Box Set - The Life and Crimes of Alice Cooper, that came out in 1999.
Brian also co wrote the song ‘Pessi-Mystic’, with Alice and producer Bob Marlette, that was on the Brutal Planet album released in 2000.
