Thanks, Tammy for another well present comparison test! I decided to go with the “PowerDeWise”. Aside from the number of sales, high ratings and positive reviews, a major factor for me was the fact that I could use it on my old “iPad Air 2”, and whatever I upgraded to later (iPad Pro). Works really well.
I have 3 purple pandas that I've used on my channel for a few years, and I think you must have had a defective one. None of mine have anywhere near that level of self noise - they are VERY clean. Anyhow - I am looking to upgrade the binaural mic that I built last year with higher-quality mics. Right now it uses 2 purple panda mics, but I'm considering switching to the Rode smartLav+ ... was hoping that would be in your comparison, but it's probably out of the target budget for your tests. Have you ever used one? Have any other mic comparison videos that feature the smartLav+? Great video - I love that you don't waste any time. :) But seriously - there was something wrong with your purple panda. Thanks!
I used to teach high school video production. I would definitely buy those $9.99 lavs. Good sound and very affordable to replace as needed. Great demo, thank you.
Thank you for this video! I wanted to compare the sound of powerdewise to purple panda, and your video showed them perfectly with no fluff! I’m going with powerdewise. Thank you! 🧡
Excellent video, great review! For me the most helpful part is when you were just listening to the room. One can always do post production to improve the frequency response, but removing background noise is a pain.
Good video Sis I am still waiting for my new IPad Pro How do you do a safety track on the purple panda? Are you talking about with the sound recorder or something?
Great review. As for the Purple Panda, what I heard was not self noise but some electrical groundloop hum. Coming perhaps through the camera/recorder power supply or USB...What of you record that mic isolated from the mains, e.g. using just the battery?
just stumbled upon your channel trying to find a budget friendly way to fix my terrible audio 😅 i will definitely be getting the pop voice! such a helpful video thank you so much!!
Hey 👋🏿 Tammy this was a great video and you got me sold on the Pop Mic my question is have you tested out on a iPhone? Cause I have a iPhone 13 Pro also I wanted to know if you had tested two of the same mics with a y spitter going into York Mac or Webcam? Because I have a MacBook Pro Mid 2012 & it has the stereo 1/8 mini headphone input
Wow! You covered all the lapel mics I was looking at! Thank you! 👏 Awesome quality as always. I'm surprised some of these super cheap mics are quite decent in clarity! 😃 I thought I had to get the $70 Rode mic but after hearing these sound tests, I don't think I do. 😏 I also want to give you props for your sound effects, animated text, and music at the end! Gives a punch to your whole video! 💥
Thank you so much! I appreciate that you noticed my hard work. Took literally 20 hours to make this video between the filming the b roll, testing all of them prior to filming took a long time, filming and then editing takes at least 6 hours to do it right. Thank you for the props!
Awesome comparison video... I am looking into a new Lav mic and this helped a lot since a few of my choices are in here. Comparing it now to your Boya by-m1 review since that is on my list also! thanks and great vid!
Hello I like you creativity in cinematography, the music playing and the image closes in. Thanks for sharing this videos about microphone, thanks to you I have improved my videos. Saludos good Roman
dam Boya aint made it ! I thought it was the best one . Thank god I bought thePowerDeWise . still don't know know how to use it properly but you sounded great with it.
VERY helpful video! Right away I thought the PoP voice sounded best but I sometimes doubt my conclusions. I was very happy to see you endorse that with 5 stars :-) I'm looking into setting up live D&D game play with friends (4-8 total people). I was thinking lavalier mics might be the simplest way to go for that. Have you ever tested these mics with any adaptors to go into a USB sound board like the XENYX Q802? I think I would need more inputs for that, but I'm just doing research right now.
These mics will be fine to plug into an interface. Just be sure to have decent cable management and don't let any wires cross with power cords, you might get an audible hiss from that.
On Amazon UK, the "PoP Voice Upgraded" mic is listed on there but it's unavailable, while there's a £24 "PoP voice 12.8 Feet" version... is that a newer version, or is it the same one? I just want to get that low self noise of the one tested in this video!
Some people also love the micbooster clippy em272 lavalier. Its a uk company so you have some shipping to the us. it is also in the budget range and should have a great sound and low self-noise and high sensitiviy.
Nice review Tammy, love the new red ball blooming effect and of course the shake earthquake move was really awesome. You’re really cooking! :) I created some split screens and made a beating heart effects on my “Babies...” vid that I learned from you. Primitive compared to you but I’m learning! Thanks! :)
Kenny!! Hope you''re doing well. How are you making out in paradise with the pandemic? It's getting bad here again because people who aren't vaccinated keep spreading it to one another.
@@tammysypniewski1891 same thing here now we start getting more case but its seem different cause here only people with health isue is getting some problem but its not so bad.
Seriously? Did you watch this whole video? It took me hours to film, compare and several more hours to edit. I mean I could understand if I was wearing a slinky tank top without a bra but cut me a break! LOL. It's a thermal shirt, your mic has to be 6 inches down from mouth so that's where I had to put it. Seeing this comment I can see that you don't know about proper placement of a microphone. Also, I live in a free country and I'll wear what I like. I feel sorry for any females in your life, I can tell you're controlling and domineering. Stay in Canada.
@@tammysypniewski1891 Ignore him. Your video was excellent. Wear whatever you like and even if you wanted to have your shirt unbuttoned just for a few extra views that's also fine. Your channel. Your body. And you're producing incredible videos. Thanks Tammy!

You just go to Pan and pull more onto the right channel
Best mic review i’ve seen so far! Thanks.

Tammy!! Great video. That $10 mic is a great tip!! Which Audio Technica headphones do you use?
The ones that are 70 bucks. They’re old and don’t have a detachable cable.

Amazing reviews Tammy! Good luck :) wanted a mic for my channel..laptop microphone isn't that cool :)
😉
what a battle
LOL. Ok battle may have been a little strong.
How does the purple panda have a safety track?
Panda was good sound but for me most of the audio came from the left side and that self noise was terrible. Great video
Yes, it has the safety track on the left which is unusual for a lav.
I had FOUR power-dewise lav mics and they all buzzed and crackled when handling the cord.
The second one sounded best to me. Have to agree though. The first one is a kick arse budget one
Thanks for watching!
Now i am interested to get another lav mic
Join the club. LOL
Hey am I the first? Great video review Tammy!
Thanks John. Pretty close I think.
Yep that Dewise sounds great to me
Thanks DMogul👍

The purple panda self noise was terrible. I’m happy i didn’t buy that.
