Well, not every bird is going to talk. Every bird is different, just like every human is different. We didn't teach Trello to talk. He decided to talk. His first words were "Step up," and he started saying it 2 weeks after we got him at the pet store. Stepping up is the first thing I teach a bird, and so he picked that up while I was training him. Then HE decided that he was going to start repeating it. It helps that I have a really good relationship with Trello, and he craves my attention. As such, he'll do anything to get me to look at him, even say words that he's heard me say. But that said, even that doesn't guarantee that your bird will speak. It all depends on the individual bird.
Just don’t expect this because most conjures do not talk and mostly whistle and scream. Depends on the bird and how and when you train it. If you start at a very young age it is much easier and they trust you better. I got my conjure at 6 years old so he still doesn’t trust me all the way. He is very attached though, and loves pets and attention. He loves dancing a singing too. But like I said it depends on the bird.
The truth is that you don’t “get” your bird to talk. If your bird is going to talk, it will talk, whether or not you want it to. If it’s not going to talk, there’s nothing you can do to change that. One should never adopt a bird with the hope of “making it talk.” My bird simply picked up on things he would hear me say repeatedly. The first thing we ever heard him say was “Step up.” That was the first thing I trained him to do, and I would always say it when I would put my hand in front of him.
Sorry, Handy, not really. I never intended to teach Trello to talk. He just kind of picked things up on his own. But he always picks up on things he hears us say over and over. But even with that, there is never any guarantee that any parrot will talk.

Okay so I was wondering if my Green cheek Conure would talk? We got him about 4 weeks ago and the lady said he was around 1 year old. Would he still talk or do they have to be younger to talk?
Hi Erika, Whether or not your bird learns to talk depends on two things: your bird, and you. Unfortunately, people sometimes buy a bird because they saw another bird of the same species talking, and when their own bird refuses to talk, the owner becomes disinterested, and then the bird becomes neglected somewhat. Not every parrot learns or decides to talk. Just like every human is different, every bird is also different, even among the same species. So first, it depends on the bird. Second, it depends on you. Your bird is more likely to try to mimic you if you and your bird have a good relationship and spend a lot of time together. A possible way to get your bird to say something is to always say it just before you give the bird a treat. Trello often says "You want a treat?" because he's used to hearing that just before he gets a treat. Just don't overstuff your bird with treats, as that can be unhealthy both physically and for the relationship and training. But still, again, keep in mind that your bird might never learn to talk. But that doesn't mean that he/she isn't still full of personality that continues to develop. Love your bird anyway, and who knows? Perhaps one day... I talked about when Trello first started talking in another video. He didn't do it because we were trying to get him to. He just decided that he wanted to mimic what he kept hearing his humans say. Now, if your bird never talks, it doesn’t mean that there’s anything wrong with it. Again, if your bird is female, it may never talk. But all birds are different. Just love your bird, and it will love you back. And that’s what it’s all about.
They start speaking around 4-6 months. That's when training them to speak gets easier. Mine is six months and is learning to talk. Whenever he does I give him a treat and a lot of attention to encourage him to talk more.

Am I doing something wrong ? Should I try to make an effort to make more time ? Also I only spend about 10 to 30 minutes around her everyday and her cage Is near me
@@petanything The bird which you have is a female na...because I read in some of the articles in google that those with pink feet are female gcc.please clear my doubt.
There are no visible distinguishing features between male and females in conures. That said, I took him to the vet no long after we got him. They did a DNA test. He is definitely male.
Hey Karma, Originally, we thought that Trello was female. We hadn't done the DNA test yet, but we wanted to give our bird a name. So we guessed. My daughter that was 4 at the time came up with the name Trillia. So we went with it. It turned out we were wrong. The DNA test that we did later showed male. We thought that the name Trillia was a bit to feminine for a boy bird, and Trilli-O just didn't have a good ring to it. So then my same daughter came up with Trello. I work in IT, and I like to give my pets names that have technical meaning. (I've had 2 parakeets in the past. One was named Widget, like an app that displays information in one corner of your screen. The other was named Jellybean, after the current version of Android at the time.) Trello is the name of an online service that I use to keep track of, and collaborate on my various tech projects at work. So we went with it. He seems to like it, too. Sometimes, I'll walk over to his cage and hear him say "Hi Trello."
is that cage in the back Trello's cage...? maybe buy a flight cage! There are some pretty cheap ones out there. Also, put toys in the cage!No toys for a bird is like no toys for a child.Natural wood perches should be in there instead of dowel.Dowel perches can create bumble foot in the bird, and if it becomes serious...Arthritis.I do not mean to be bossy or harsh, these are just some tips that will keep your beautiful conure happier :)Amazing job with the speech,Trello!
Oh yes, he absolutely does. Green cheeks are known to be the quieter of the conures. However, I think Trello is the exception to that. Granted, we have 9 kids, and Trello lives in a high-traffic area of the house. So he lives among noise during the day.
Pet Anything hey also would a green check be a good first bird for a house with two kids, two cats and a dog? Because I really want one but I’m concerned my cats will eat him/her
@@wiggiwligg8674, It's hard to say if a green cheek would be a good FIRST bird for anyone. It really depends on the individual who is considering getting a bird. If you have done your research, and you're prepared with a cage, toys, diet, etc., then sure, a GCC could be a good companion. See my recent video on this subject here: ruclips.net/video/gyLoxVTQ5l8/видео.html However, if you're concerned about the safety of your bird because of a cat or any other reason, then I can't really recommend any bird, because any species of bird you could get will be subject to the same possible dangers. If you're considering getting a bird, you need to take precautions to mitigate any potential hazards to your bird, first.

Um, hey genius, the DNA test that my vet did 4 years ago also thinks that he is a he. With most parrots, there are no visible traits that can discern gender. Only a DNA test can tell that. Not the color of the feet. You may want to check your parrot facts before you go broadcasting your ignorance to the internet for all to see.

DoctorSockpuppetFilms hey you got any advice for me ? Mine is female and we got her about a month ago and she kinda runs away Everytime I try to put my hand near her however she loves it when I give her my phone and put on bird noises then she will get near me how ever still keeping her distance and nibble on my finger here and there but I'm hoping one day we'll create that bond however it's kinda difficult because im in high school I have homework and do other activities and by the time I get home I am tired but still find time everyday to interact with her with my phone but she has stuck to this pattern and nothing has really changed other than her coming out of her cage alot more often .
He is definitely male.
i thought it was a yellow sided conure
John Bae but it has green cheeks
It has a diesease
How do you mean?
My Bowie will talk to me .but as soon as I get the camera out he plays dumb
Trello is used to be the same way.
Tbf I didn’t even know conures could talk, jaiden animations parrot never talks and that makes me kinda sad ngl :(
How did you come up with your birds name !? I love it !!!! Xx
Hey Karma,
Originally, we thought that Trello was female.

The outro music is so loud and the video is so quiet it scared the shit out of kerm.
I mean why else would he cover his head
I covered his head because that is what triggers him to say peekaboo.
is that cage in the back Trello's cage...? maybe buy a flight cage!
Does he scream loufly
Oh yes, he absolutely does. Green cheeks are known to be the quieter of the conures. However, I think Trello is the exception to that. Granted, we have 9 kids, and Trello lives in a high-traffic area of the house. So he lives among noise during the day.
H
Pet Anything hey also would a green check be a good first bird for a house with two kids, two cats and a dog? Because I really want one but I’m concerned my cats will eat him/her
@@wiggiwligg8674, It's hard to say if a green cheek would be a good FIRST bird for anyone. It really depends on the individual who is considering getting a bird. If you have done your research, and you're prepared with a cage, toys, diet, etc., then sure, a GCC could be a good companion. See my recent video on this subject here: ruclips.net/video/gyLoxVTQ5l8/видео.html
However, if you're concerned about the safety of your bird because of a cat or any other reason, then I can't really recommend any bird, because any species of bird you could get will be subject to the same possible dangers. If you're considering getting a bird, you need to take precautions to mitigate any potential hazards to your bird, first.
So cute!! But dude, what is that music at the end of your video, scared the heck out of my birds!!!! 😠
The difference in volume on that ruined it
Recently my 4 month Old conure learned to say good bird and pretty bird 🥹🥹im on 7th sky now🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
i love the fact he thinks she is a he 😂 grey feet is a male pinkish grey feet is a female. or dna check. i did and mines a female plus she has pink feet
@@petanything no ik my facts pretty well like i said the dna test best determines the gender. not just feeling up the bird. pink feet is female, and it has been with all 3 of my female conures 😂
@@petanything i just find the fact ur so defensive about my opinion. but i think ill keep my opinion 😊 that ur birds a female hun but thanks for ur *hate comment* lmao
Toxic KalaNoe Sthu how you gonna tell him what gender HIS parrot is bitch you crazy😂😂😂😂
