- Home sweet home relates the 2 years of the pandemic that have just passed, where the authorities have often asked us to stay at home to avoid the spread of the virus.
I would like to sincerely thank my good friend Alain Labranche for his participation on the guitar. Thanks also to his wife, Sonia Pare for the shooting.
Home sweet home is a song which dates from the 19th century, ie 1823, which has been adapted several times to individual style. My banjo version is played in "D" with "tunners". I dedicate this song to my parents, Claire and Marc, who love this banjo version and who have always encouraged me to persevere. Thanks also to my late Aunt Jeannine, who loved this song and had my version played on the local radio station in the 90s.
On the video:
• banjo: Rene Perreault
• guitar: Alain Labranche
Studio recording:
• banjo: Rene Perreault
• guitar: Alain Labranche
• bass: Rene Perreault

Wow, you nailed the phrasing with those D tuners. Thats the "cleanest" execution I've ever heard. But the way the guitar player let his 12 fret harmonics ring out while moving on to fret a D chord... now, that was something! 😉
Thank you very much for your positive comments. Yes indeed for the harmonic, it was wanted like that, and you really have an eye for detail 😃👍
Boy, I enjoyed the heck out of this! Thanks guys!

@@waldo955 Atsalrite !
Enhorabuena!!.
Brilliant lads,

Thank you very much, it's really apprecieted. I don't have tips for you. It seems to have a lot of course on the web. But one thing is sure, you will have to practice every days. Good luck friend!
I am making a request….would you mind telling next time you record a song, I would like to be there…. Hope to hear from you anytime soon.

Fuckin´ Awsome Folks
Thanks a lot!
Saya biasanya menanggapi semua komentar konstruktif. Salam Indonesia dan terima kasih atas minatnya!
@@waldo955 oh oke, terima kasih ya bang🙏
Is that a Dove or a Humingbird guitar?
It's both Gibson. Don't know more about guitar
ARE THEY NOT BLOODEY RIPPER, AS WE SAY IN OZ
How long you been picking banjo?
about 25 years. But I don't practice very often anymore. It's not about the amount of years, it's about the amount of time you put in.
