Thats how I roll ron!! Doing a fix I can't immediately get any feed back on!! But the minute it warms up a bit it going out in the snow!! Thanks for checking in!!
I love when a company has the foresight to think of these things.. Awesome Sure did make life easier for ya. Once again thanks for sharing. THIS is why your videos are getting such great response.. :) Well done.. And I am all caught up.. Nice way to spend a Saturday morning with a Couple cups of coffee. Now? I am going for a run... lol
Thanks so much for this... locked both diffs today upon opening the box! Unfortunately the steering servon isnt responding at all... turn signals work but servo is dead silent... for an amateur like me, can you give me any tips about where to start to get this monster apart to get to the servo? Thanks, Jerry!
Hey Gerry what’s up man I have fell so far behind on RUclips lately. Crazy Ot at work 7 days a week and then home duties on top of that. Slipping in time for my finishing cross build and now a trailer I’m lucky to get any sleep. Great quick locking diff project here. This truck is cool I have know idea why I haven’t owned one yet lol. I’ve got a bunch up catching up to do. Wife’s got me outside this Saturday hanging xmas lights in my free time today 😬. It’s the small things for she lets me do what ever I want in my hobbies 🤗👍🏼
Thanks ron, the only good thing about when it gets cold here is everything slows down!! Work, and home it takes time to warm things up to work!! Also my wife likes hanging her own lights (inside of course) so that is one chore I dont have to worry about!!😁😁 As for the p602 its just such a neat truck, just wish I had thought of the diff locks this summer, but oh well cant wait to try it in the snow!! Careful doing those lights sur😁😁😁
Hi,Jerry i have just stripped and rebuilt my 602 axles but i have no outer access holes on mine,it shows to fit them insde the axle but when i tried this the hole is in the wrong place so the drive shaft will not fit back in the axle casing ,go figure! Maybe because it was the basic version ,Very annoying but overall a beautiful truck.love your channel keep it going😊
That is the big flaw I have found with HG models, 801,802,803 should have lockable diffs. 602 has lockable diffs but either the lock pins are wrong or the diffs have no holes!!! What putty do you use? I use 20 million weight traxxas diff fluid!
Hello Gerry... Love your Videos! i currently have my 602 on order, hopefully not too much longer before it shows up. Love that you figured out how to lock the diffs. so with that said, if my unit doesn't come with the M3 locking pins, any idea where i can purchase them from? - Really would like to avoid going back to BangGood for those? thanks in advance... Tom
Thanks Tom for viewing!! Iam pretty sure the pins I had were from axial, I would check places like amain, tower hobbies, local hobby shop, maybe called driveshaft pins?
@@gerrysoldguyreview thanks so much... just got notification from BG that my 602 will be here in about a week.... thank again and k÷p the videos coming.... tom
Fine !! does it have proportional steering wheels and speed ? I mean if the wheels turn proportionally and not suddenly, if the speed is also progressive and proportional and not only two speeds and if the indicators can be controlled independently by the radio control and not only automatically if the vehicle turns to the right or to the left ?
This is a hobby grade rc truck, HG makes fine kits , proportion steering with replaceable servos, ESC, but the light kit is bare bones unless your a electronic light guy I don't know about the turn signals I just deleted them!
Leider.
@@gerrysoldguyreview Hello Gerry, there are probably different versions of the model. I have both. The standard version and the full option version. Neither model has this lockable axle. My friends don't have it either. Maybe the models for Germany are equipped differently. Unfortunately.
Hello Gerry,do you think the 602 diff could fit the 802 axle housing? Then i could lock my 802 with that system. Great videos btw and i love the work you put in to your models
Thank you so much!! Having both trucks i would have to say no the diff housings are so different i don't believe it would work, but if you can wait a bit i will be making a video on locking an 802 diff!
@@gerrysoldguyreview ok,looking forward to that, maybe you can compare them with pictures from the instructions when everything is torn apart, thx for the reply
Gerry! My 802 has the old three channels, and I bought the 16 ch remote control with the newer version 8 ch receiver, but I don't have the wiring diagram ... do you know where I can find it? 😳 thanks!🙏
@@gerrysoldguyreview Well, maybe because of weight of the truck and torque that would be generated on axles and wheels. For now I am leaving my 'heavys' without diff lock, but crawlers (even CC-01) all have them locked since they are lighter.
@gerrysoldguyreview all of the screws were too big? Where did you get the right size screw? Could you find them at a hardware store or did you have to order them from the company?
Sweet, easy fix. That's nice to know. Now the fun begins with a little warmer weather and a test drive. That should go anywhere!!!

Hey brother, In your Cougar video series, did you go over the cab/chassis disassembly? I have to un-marry this cab etc to service the motor etc ~

Yea I couldn’t find the hole for some reason when I unplugged it and was turning the wheels

Can these 602's run 3s or strictly 2s?
