Questa esecuzione del Vespro della Beata Vergine è davvero straordinaria, la migliore tra tante che ho sentito. Non è solo la meravigliosa armonia fra le parti, la bravura degli esecutori, il dialogo fra i cantanti, hai la netta sensazione di essere presente al canto del vespero sotto le volte d'oro della Basilica di San Marco a Venezia
Comme la vierge Marie est au sommet du royaume des cieux, les Vêpres de la Vierge sont au sommet de la musique sacrée. Cette interprétation lui rend un bel hommage ! Juste un (petit) regret : l’absence de théorbe dans le continuo et de flûtes à bec dans les vents qui auraient enrichi les timbres et qui sont partie intégrante de l’instrumentarium monteverdien.

Die ausgefeilte, dicht gestaffelte Aufnahmetechnik würde den kleinsten Fehler bloßlegen - nichts von dem ist eingetreten: Alle musizieren makellos und in beeindruckender Natürlichkeit, die unmittelbar auf das Tiefste berührt. Auch der Aufführungsort (Stiftskirche Innichen/Südtirol) ist klug gewählt und suggeriert trotz aller Geistigkeit einen gewissen rustikalen Charakter. .

Nog nooit heb ik de hemelpoorten zo wijd open zien gaan als bij de eerste 3 minuten van Monteverdi's Maria Vespers in deze uitvoering. Zijn geest waard rond in elke musicus. Briljante dirigent!!!! 3 michelinsterren! Misschien wel 4. Als ik momenten heb dat ik aan het bestaan van God twijfel dan is Monteverdi's D-dur in deze uitvoering voldoende om alle twijfel te laten verdwijnen.

Einfach nur fantastisch, meine absolutes geistliches Lieblingswerk von einem grandiosen Ensemble perfekt gespielt, Herz, was willst du mehr. Super Sängerinnen und Sänger, Instrumentalisten, sowie einem höchst überzeugendem Dirigenten. In Englisch würde man sagen: MIND BLOWING! Es ist unbeschreiblich, wie tief das die Seele berührt. Das schreibe ich, während ich beim 4. Teil bin, ich freue mich schon ungemein auf die Marien-Sonate, es gibt nichts Bewegenderes für mich als dieses Werk. Übrigens hab ich mir hier (in RUclips) diese Vesper mit Pluhar angehört. Ich gratuliere herzlichst zu dieser Superaufführung. Wo kann ich mehr über dieses Ensemble erfahren? Einfach sensationell. Ich hätte nur über den Staller Sattel nach Innichen fahren müssen und hätte mein Lieblingswerk im geistlichen Bereich auf allerhöchstem Niveau erleben dürfen. Fuhr in den vergangenen Jahren jedes Jahr nach Toblach, um die Orgelkonzerte von P. Peinstingl jun., dem Stiftskapellmeister und Organisten von St. Peter in Salzburg, erleben zu dürfen. Aber, wie komm ich zu derartigen Informationen? Das würde ich mir sofort anschauenh/-hören.

This right here is the best performance of Monteverdi's 1610 vespers I've ever heard! And I've heard a LOT since I'm a collector that breathes Venetian music. The only missing component, la tiorba (theorbo) and maybe an harp would make this an absolute perfection.

Oh, what a treat it was to witness a modern performance of the Vespers for the Blessed Virgin! Watching the conductor, clearly the reincarnation of Toscanini himself, was nothing short of mesmerizing. His dramatic arm gestures could have easily been mistaken for a masterclass in interpretive dance rather than the subtle art of conducting choral music. I half expected him to summon thunder and lightning, à la Wagner, with a mere flick of his wrist. And let’s not forget the way he glared at the choir like they were each a misplayed note in a Mahler symphony. Bravo! It was as if he were auditioning for a role in a grand opera-complete with the tragic intensity of a character who’s just discovered the meaning of life. Who knew that Vespers could be infused with such theatrical flair? I mean, who needs serene worship when you have the emotional depth of a soap opera? Truly, this performance will go down in history, not for its musical excellence, but for the sheer spectacle of a conductor who believes he’s just a few crescendos away from becoming the next Wagner. I can hardly wait for the encore-maybe he’ll conduct an aria while levitating!

Einfach nur fantastisch, meine absolutes geistliches Lieblingswerk von einem grandiosen Ensemble perfekt gespielt, Herz, was willst du mehr. Super Sängerinnen und Sänger, Instrumentalisten, sowie einem höchst überzeugendem Dirigenten.
In Englisch würde man sagen: MIND BLOWING! Es ist unbeschreiblich, wie tief das die Seele berührt. Das schreibe ich, während ich beim 4. Teil bin, ich freue mich schon ungemein auf die Marien-Sonate, es gibt nichts Bewegenderes für mich als dieses Werk. Übrigens hab ich mir hier (in RUclips) diese Vesper mit Pluhar angehört.
Ich gratuliere herzlichst zu dieser Superaufführung. Wo kann ich mehr über dieses Ensemble erfahren?

Gerade ist das Werk zu Ende gegangen und ich bin überwältigt. Nicht Weltklasse, nein, außerirdische Klasse! Incredibile!
Kenne viele Fassungen und Interpretationen, diese gehört für mich zu den Tops. Ich bin gerührt und tief bewegt.

Ich hätte nur über den Staller Sattel nach Innichen fahren müssen und hätte mein Lieblingswerk im geistlichen Bereich auf allerhöchstem Niveau erleben dürfen. Fuhr in den vergangenen Jahren jedes Jahr nach Toblach, um die Orgelkonzerte von P. Peinstingl jun., dem Stiftskapellmeister und Organisten von St. Peter in Salzburg, erleben zu dürfen. Aber, wie komm ich zu derartigen Informationen? Das würde ich mir sofort anschauenh/-hören.

This right here is the best performance of Monteverdi's 1610 vespers I've ever heard! And I've heard a LOT since I'm a collector that breathes Venetian music. The only missing component, la tiorba (theorbo) and maybe an harp would make this an absolute perfection.
I agree. A harp and a theorbo would ha ve been a great addition.

Oh, what a treat it was to witness a modern performance of the Vespers for the Blessed Virgin! Watching the conductor, clearly the reincarnation of Toscanini himself, was nothing short of mesmerizing. His dramatic arm gestures could have easily been mistaken for a masterclass in interpretive dance rather than the subtle art of conducting choral music. I half expected him to summon thunder and lightning, à la Wagner, with a mere flick of his wrist.
And let’s not forget the way he glared at the choir like they were each a misplayed note in a Mahler symphony. Bravo! It was as if he were auditioning for a role in a grand opera-complete with the tragic intensity of a character who’s just discovered the meaning of life. Who knew that Vespers could be infused with such theatrical flair? I mean, who needs serene worship when you have the emotional depth of a soap opera?
Truly, this performance will go down in history, not for its musical excellence, but for the sheer spectacle of a conductor who believes he’s just a few crescendos away from becoming the next Wagner. I can hardly wait for the encore-maybe he’ll conduct an aria while levitating!
