This is a fantastic way to use a song to teach embellishments, and a great method for only adding a little bit of complexity at a time. This is the first lesson of yours that I have seen...and while it is taking a longer time to add each new progressive skill than I would like it to take - old fingers :-) - I am taking my time to work through each new skill until it sounds nice and clean. Fantastic approach - just where I am at right now, moving from good strummer to actually adding interest to the music. Thank you, thank you, thank you
Wow, great lesson! I have been trying to play this song for a long time off and on and you have really made it approachable - giving us basic options and allowing us to add complexity. This is one of my favorite songs so thank-you for doing this.
I have been playing this song for years and years and I didn't realize how wrong I was playing it. I learned so much from this lesson. You are a terrific teacher and now this song is brand new to me and I get to enjoy it all over again. Thank you
Looking forward to giving this one a try. The level of this lesson is going to very appropriate for me. It has things I can do and things that will allow growth to my playing.
hey, i truly love the way you build this intro up (construct it) and then later break it back down (deconstruct it). although i’ve been able to play this song reasonably well, i’ve always felt a little bit behind it, and could never really slow it down to the point i felt i could truly master the technique. in other words i always kind of had to let it fly and mostly get it right, with no real ability to play it slowly and deliberately. i’m very sure this lesson is going to rectify that situation for me. thank you for making and sharing this great video :) this is a ‘holy grail’ song for me, a lifelong ‘gotta learn’. on these core songs i try to dig really deep and build a very strong foundation, try to make the song ‘part of me’. this lesson has really improved my understanding of this great song. thank you so much. here’s my favorite live version of the song. this is from the voodoo lounge tour, the miami ‘94 show from joe robbie stadium. there’s a bit much crowd noise at the outset. just let the song get going and enjoy! m.ruclips.net/video/JS7QkXwiN_0/видео.html
David, when I saw your sheet music I Iaughed. I was Iistening to a guy from MuscIe ShoaIs taIk about the Stones recording "WiId Horses" there in '69. When they started on that song Ian Stewart, their keyboardist, packed up and Ieft because he refused to piay minor chords. So this guy stepped in and offered to pIay and Keith gave him a numbered cord sheet just Iike you have, but the guy (who couId read music) couIdn't make heads or taiIs of it. EventuaIIy BiII Wyman waIked over to him and said, "What you got there, mate?" He toId him Keith had given it to him, and Wyman said, "Don't Iisten to him. He onIy knows where he put his fingers yesterday." IoI
What a coincidence... Another Vlogger did a cover of this song the other day.. I have always been a big Stones fan, and had never heard this song... I love the Blues, and this one falls right in line with that.... Thanks for the lesson.. Have a Great New Year...
Where is everything on the secondary guitar? I've had enough of with the same 3 chords played over and over again now. I'm ready to move to the next step. There is some really cool bending strings and slides going on that no one is showing on any of these RUclips lessons. Some show a nice rundown lick but nothing else that Mick Taylor is playing.

They used this classic Stones song at the closing of the movie “Knives Out” and it was a perfect choice
That's why I'm here. Always loved the tune but wasn't listening to it lately. Perfect ending, I agree
Agree. They rerun it last night...🌟🌟🌟
Newb guitar player with old hands. Been practicing every night to this. Thank you 🙏 you’ve been most generous and helpful.

Amazing lesson. Thank you very much!
Great Job Man! One of my all time favorite Stones songs. That bad ass lick an octave up part you are referring to was played by Mick Taylor.
Great one. Fun to learn and build skills at the same time. Can’t wait for the follow up!

Way to complicated. The way you are explaining it. Not the song.
Too long and boring. Get to the point
