People freaked out about that ad, but for me there's one far worse in terms of lack of concern for human feelings: the firing of Jira. Simulating the sad situation of an employee acting normal while being called to a room and then receiving the typical script of firing someone. That in order to say that Jira, the tool, is like such an employee.

the ad means it's the thinnest ceativity tool created by Apple yet has it all. Others are bulky. Many people are sensitive in the wrong place.
There's greater context that you and many others are not grasping with this one. For example, so many musicians get upset if someone selfishly destroys an instrument for no real reason, because across the world some good person somewhere would have been blessed to have it, or the kid down the street who's parents don't have money and it could have been donated etc, Then there is THIS ad, that crushes every creative tool imaginable. Its tone deaf

@@thermoyt Yeah I totally get some people genuinely are not bothered by it. But also it seems that the ones who are not bothered by it are also mostly unwilling to emphasize with the people who are. I teach guitar, bass, drums, and have a studio and I'm a bit indifferent with it, but I certainly get why it disturbed a lot of people
That was the intended message of the ad, sure - compressing the power of a device on a thin package. The framing however - a single press on a bland gray industrial area pushing against all forms of entertainment media contrasted by color, shot in a cold manner--gives a negative impression that both creating and enjoying entertainment is at the behest of the iPad and nowhere else. Not exactly good marketing for a device you need to appeal to creatives with.
