My buddies and I don't talk about our sex lives, except for privately and if there is an issue (ongoing or in the past). I've discussed numerous things with my buddies, but when the conversation gets too specific, I don't want to hear it. Last thing I want is to imagine someone else's person in that act or in that scenario.

Folks … this is comedy. These characters are supposed to be extreme, be dysfunctional so that you can explore the comedy; we can all identify in part but it is not supposed to be a commentary on modern family life. Such psycho analysis in this comment section😂
Exactly. Doris Roberts played Marie like she did because she wanted her to be the Mother in Law from hell, and the real comedy came from the others' reactions to her antics.

Patricia Heaton was the spark that brought life into this whole series. She had a pretty face but was also a master at creating facial expressions that so effectively captured the mood of each episode. Patricia Heaton was the real star of the show.

Fans of this show used to hate Debra, now they seem to hate Ray much more. These clips have shown viewers that Ray is much more despicable than they remembered.
Everybody loves Raymond is an ironic title, truthfully Ray isn’t that loveable or even likeable.
Because this specific channel is obviously bias against Ray. Just look at all their uploads and title names.
Ray is hilarious and everyone who isn't a smooth brain knows it. Everyone else forgets this is a sitcom and trash talks a fictional character because they simp for the bitch wife who can’t even keep her own house clean.
I grew up with a dad like that. I kind of knew that the show was not funny right away. Looking back, I understand more how much Debra and Marie had to endure.

I know right? Part of what makes the show funny is because the family members do things that are so obviously wrong. Marie is overbearing, Robert is a nice guy but an easy target, grumpy grandpa. It's almost like... A real, relatable, but slightly exaggerated family. I remember watching this as a kid and my parents would compare Marie and Frank to my grandparents, they would see similarities between themselves and Debra and Ray. And they would laugh! They would laugh at the absurdity and parallels to real life. People are so odd these days.
