Sarah saves the day once again!` She was really looking at that chopper like she already has her eye on it! Almost laying claim to it!? She looked like she isn’t interested in running the combine next year? Maybe Andrew will get to run the combine? Andy it looks like she has her eye on the top operator position?!
What takes a lot out of me is having to climb down and get my tools and climb back up to get to work. I need someone to be in the tool crib handing me what I need! lol Right on time, Sarah! Great job, Andy! 💪👈
Always impressed with the repairs and fab work that you take on. Most RUclips farmers struggle with oil changes and plow points. Keep up the great content.
I grew up on a farm and was an auto mechanic for a while. I think one of the requirements for any engineer should be to be a mechanic for a year before they can get their degree and start actually designing anything. I bet things would get easier to repair very quickly. Or last longer so they do not need repaired so often.
Well done, and nice crane work. Felt your many trips up and down those steps in my knees. But on to getting the new parts back in and on to the next project. Thanks for taking us along. Crane operators are at a higher pay scale, just sayin. hahaha
Kind of surprised there weren't a bunch of cracks on the backside of the chute. I thought that would be a good reason to change it. Thanks for showing the "extraction."
You are getting good use out of the service truck and an excellent crane operator. Lots of pieces to take apart to get that one part out of the chopper.
Was the housing in the states or was it shipped from across the pond? If it was, just curious how long it took to reach you. Awesome content and video as always, Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Very Nice. I've done similar jobs, not on that machine, but getting equipment and parts out of tight places etc. Your hands will heal up. Skin will grow back. lol
Those disk brakes are a pain in the rearend to get off of the hubs! We would rent a special port a power ! I bet you are asking. Why did we wait so long to get a service truck with a crain!
Hey Andy .you make 2 mistakes : .at first i would take off the cover grate from after the chopper pipe . ..and i would hooked on the sektion on 2 bolts that it comes straight out of the machine. Best greetings and keep alltimes safe by the work !!! Greetings from north west Germany from Bert !
@FarmingFixingFabricating Hi Andy .oh sorry .i couldnt know that . I have no Harvest chopper. -- i thought only : why did Andy dismantled the cover grate behind the cab area . Sorry Andy ! Best greetings from Germany from Bert .
SERIOUS INFORMATION FOR YOU IF YOU DON'T ALREADY KNOW THIS AND ALREADY DO THIS , I TURNED A WRENCH FOR 35Y BEFORE BECAME DISABLED 30Y ON A PICK UP UP TO TRACTOR TRAILER INCLUDING REFRIGERATOR UNITS. WHEEL STUDS NEED TO BE CHANGED X AMOUNT OF TIME DEPENDING ON MANUFACTURER OF THE POWER UNIT AND TRAILERS , COUNTING TIRE REMOVAL AND BRAKES EVEN WHEEL SEALS TO REACH THE TIME TO REPLACE THE WHEEL STUDS AND NUTS. ONLY SAYING THIS FOR SAFETY.
Looks like the holes are wallered out for those 4 large mounting bolts he mentioned as a “mongrel” to remove. Must of been loose and might be the reason the housing cracked ??
As long as you're on-road they're great. Ask a logger and an OTR driver what they think of their discs and they'll give you diametrically opposed opinions.
After over 40years otr driving snow and rain learning to dry the brakes shoes an drums long before you anticipated stopping I learned disc brakes worked when I needed them.just need to sneak up on the pedal when snow and ice.never had to crawl under to adjust bad slacks and out of adjustment brake shoes in the snow and water anymore. its a learning curve.

That crane is as handy as a glove. Don't let Sarah fool you, she loved running the combine.

Nothing like having the right tools. The service truck was a good buy!

Thank you for showing this. Now I see why those cracks can form.
What an asset that utility truck is with the boom….great addition Andy.
Looks like your new service truck and that remote-controlled service boom are working out mucho good.
Nice work taking that out. Watching you encourages me to repair a few things like I've done in the past. Enjoyed this Andy thankyou

Great job young man, you made it look easy👍🙋♂️🙏🐄🚜
Another good job Andy 👍
Warning ⚠️
She Eye balling the chopper Andy.
😅😅😅😅
The ole service truck earning her wages. Job looked so much nicer with it compared to the forklift or tellahandler less manpower as well.
You are getting good use out of the service truck and an excellent crane operator. Lots of pieces to take apart to get that one part out of the chopper.
Thank you for another Great video. Cheers
Great video. The crane operator appears just in time. :)
Allways the lucky one Andy..
Only so much Frankenstein chopper one can take eh..?? Lol

Should make a lifting fixture for it so it lifts more evenly 😊
The engineer’s never figured on having to replace it.Just sell it to someone else.
All combining work is now will be done by Sara.
You guys must have a substantial annual equipment maintenance budget
Millions dollars 😎
Is the peterbilt gonna be for sale after you get it back together or gonna keep running it
Sarah the chhaappeerrr operator for 2025 😊😊😊
Those disk brakes are a pain in the rearend to get off of the hubs! We would rent a special port a power ! I bet you are asking. Why did we wait so long to get a service truck with a crain!
Nice pick !!
Good entertainment and good family ❤😅😅😅😅😅
Looks like you’ve got plenty to do. Have you done wheelies on your bike lately? after I saw you wasn’t hurt. I laughed pretty hard.
Hi Andy, what’s going on with the John Deere equipment and tractors? What is all that stuff about being woke? Not being as smart ass just wondering.
Nothing at all
@ I see

Oh ok, would you suggest that I cut the frame just in behind the housing in order to do that????
@FarmingFixingFabricating
Hi Andy .oh sorry .i couldnt know that .
I have no Harvest chopper.
-- i thought only : why did Andy dismantled the cover grate behind the cab area .
Sorry Andy ! Best greetings from Germany from Bert .
If there ever was a youtube video of removing this, NOW is the need for it................
Should be a pain getting it back in!
Great Vid 👍👍👍👍
Good content team
the Peterbilt is running good? hurry and drive it to the dealership to trade it in haha

If not on a truck then an overhead crane in the shop. They are indispensable. Beats a forklift or a TeleHandler.
John Deere engineering 🙄
JD choppers are built in
Germany.
@@SupermanJH68So are NH, Claas, and Krone. What's the difference, except the names and colors?
@@MorganOtt-ne1qjpretty much everything there the same basic concept that’s about it
Thanks Andy 😊😊😊
i am guessing the new chopper is alot newer and bigger
Same.model.. Twin.
Have you ever broken the back window?
It's ready for another crop. Because it could break down in the field 😞
You need your crew to learn crane signals n directions
How would that work out when he was using both hands?
@ you also need to learn crane signs
That was a Mongreal
The JD engineers did not make that easy for you…. Not all that replaceable friendly….
Just say NO to disc brakes.
Take it you have never driven one with disc brake what a difference stop so. much better
