to people still wondering in illusion that fr Kelly left the priesthood is a total fake .he never left the priesthood .his latest audition in Britain got talent 2018 he even mentioned that he is a parish priest and he is as sweet and stronger as ever. priest FOREVER. thanks fr Kelly you are an amazing person .

Ellen don't judge or make fun of someone like fr Ray Kelly. You want respect and equality, I'm a catholic who admires you and watch your show, you'll only loose viewers. I stop here bc I was watching him on the 'Late Late Show' video and saw that you were here so I got excited and decided to watch this video only to find this insult. Some members in my family are Gay and believe me very close family and they are catholic who would disagree with this video. These 2 members in my family are the Godparents of my children, We don't discriminate against gays just bc we are Catholic. Let's show some respect alright! I love you Ellen. Invite him to your show you'll have the biggest TV audience tuning on that day. I betcha!

No! He is a priest. He was a missionary for years but settled down to become a priest at a church.

I see no indication that he left the priesthood. He talks about his many travels, then at 1:00 he says that he "decided to pack it all in and opt for priesthood." It is a bit confusing, though, because his responses don't seem to correlate with the questions.
I am upset that he left the priesthood. He could have stayed with the calling and used his gift. Sometimes you do have to follow your dreams.

Listen to his interview. I am not Irish so might have misunderstood. But he said pack it in. So to me that means he left. Later in the sentence think he said I left the priest hood. I don't have the time stamp.
He left his civi job and joined the priesthood. Besides, this is a stitch up, two interviews put together.

YOU probably want to be a star but you probably don't have any talent so you bash the ones that do and make it a sin. I'm catholic and it would be awesome if the priest at my church can sing this good. Did the priest intend for this to happen? No, all he did was sing a nice song for a couple getting married.

and he, like Jesus Christ, is a HUMAN for HUMANS----PERIOD!!!! I am a Catholic priest in the USA, and in good standing. And I hope to be a shadow of the priest he showed himself to be. I'm still working on it after nearly 25 years. He's still far ahead of me in bringing God's love to us.

But this priest has a special manner of building his congregation. Not every priest is so blessed! That just makes it so much more difficult in these times. I wish you all the best. I cannot get to church but that does not mean that I do not believe in God.!
