Absolute respect. My grandfather was 41 Commando who fought at Sword beach on D-Day. Went back as a Normandy veteran to pay his respect several times. Remember going with him to watch him lay a wreath at the Commando memorial at Spean Bridge near where he trained at Achnacarry. Loved that man. Miss you Grandad x.
It feels horrible to know that I’ve gone all day without hearing anything of D-Day, not one person seems to know the significance of today’s date. It isn’t just a number, it’s day that shaped the world. We have so much to give for the thousands that gave for us...
Words and deeds of great courage, duty, wisdom, and humanity. A true human being, man, and Royal Marine. Memories and a message now etched in Time and upon we who are privileged to receive this Gift, forged in and carried back from the fury and fire of battle. My humble salute in honour, respect, and gratitude to you and your brethren, then and now, for your exemplary and invaluable service and sacrifice.
It brings home what hell they went through for our freedom thank you and your brothers dear sir the heroes of d day are marked by crosses row on row . We will remember them

God bless that brave man, and all who gave their lives. That clip put a lump in my throat. Very hard to not feel emotional.
