I’ve made a ottoman with scrap woods and some thrifted fabric (somehow I’ve found the exact same fabric with my sofa at Value Village fabric section lol) I also had some reaally cheap second hand crib mattress laying at the corner so I used it as the mattress 🎉 lastly I will be making this Gorgeous table on top. I’m so excited! Thank you for the tutorial!
Haha! Well the fabric I did go with was nice and easy to sew a straight line. All you have to do is see along the line on the fabric. But pinning two pieces together takes a while to make sure it’s pinned out well. And thank you!! I love the fabric.
Looks great! And I understand how you did the fabric but I can't execute it. I'd need a sewing machine and knowledge on how to set it up/fix it when it breaks.
OMG. just discovered your channel, when I decided to make an ottoman!!! You are just too funny, after I laughed and laughed, I loved the finished product!! well done! PLUS you have a rag doll too - perfect!!!! new subscriber from Scotland - hello Bailey and subs!!😘
Oh you definitely need to make an ottoman, I still love mine! and OMG you think I'm funny... best compliment ever! and a fellow ragdoll owner hopefully yours isn't as sassy as mine haha. Thank you so much for watching and for subscribing!!! :)
Amazing outcome! I watched your video on the weekend and I already crafted a wrap-around table. And I love it! I choosing not to build an ottoman, I have used my existing one, installed a tin mdf (0.6mm) board on a bottom and addaed 5cm legs on it. Unfortunately, I have no sewing machine, so, I purchased a black - high spandex fabric - slipcover. with cherry blossom on it. Thanks for the video!!
You can staple Velcro to the bottom of the ottoman and sew the soft side to the autumn cover and pull it off and wash it, maybe cover the autumn in a cheap white fabric for underneath? just to cover the wood and foam when washing. Think ikea?
oh that's such a good idea. I have fabric for the bottom but was just going to staple it on but then when I went to do it I didn't want to completely close off the inside. the velcro is such a good idea. I'm definitely going to do that! ☺️☺️☺️
Love it. Now you need to send me the blueprints on it. It’s the perfect size that I want in my living room. All I can find are the huge ottomans. That will not work. I don’t use a coffee table. I want an ottoman to go with my comfy chair I plan on buying when we do the living room.
I’ll work on getting the plan up on my wed site! :) once it’s there I’ll let you know! I know finding the perfect size ottoman is hard and making this was easy. It would be a great weekend project
Thank you so much! and yes I'm currently saving up to get some pneumatic tools. I'm using my brothers right now and its such a game changer so much easier on the hands haha
Note to future Mailey - go for the darker check because you never know - you might want to make a travel roll for all your plug in travel stuff, when you travel to Dublin one day - tee tee tee !! I am speaking from the future !!! No rewatching ottoman so I can make one , just laughing at your choosing the fabric and me knowing what you choose before you do x

@@MaileyElaine it looks easy watching you, and so does crocheting when someone else does it. Me doing it successfully…not so much. The only thing I can do involving a needle and thread is cross stitching. I don’t though, ‘cause it takes too long and I don’t have the patience for it.
@@verenaanderson2729 Oh I feel you with crocheting! I really don't know how to do that at all. I'm always super impressed by it. And you speaking to the girl of very little patience so I feel that!! haha! that's why I like sewing... if it's an easy enough project you can do it quickly

Thank you Mailey!
The ottoman is BEAUTIFUL! I love it! Well done!
Thank you so much! 🥰
You lost me at “straight lines” lol. This did turn out amazing though, definitely the right fabric choice!

Oh you could definitely do this! 8 straight lines. Then you pull it over the frame and staple... you got that
A M A Z I N G! the table was the icing on the cake!
Oh thank you so much! I totally agree... the ottoman would definitely be missing something without the table! 🥰🥰🥰
Omg it's beautiful. You did awesome ❣️
Oh thank you!!! :)
It really does look amazing. The wood topping looks great
Thank you!!!

Great job! I do think you should invest in an electric stapler! They are amazing and it will save your hands.

Awesome job!! 👍 I'm not talented enough or have the tools to make something like that!
Thank you so much!
The cat really ties the room together. 😂
Clyde has really broken in the ottoman since it’s been done. He’s currently sleeping on it now and has all day 😂
I like the trick with the turkey carving knife lol
haha thank you! ☺️
Fantastic job! If I made that I'd be sure that all my clutter would be hiding under there if company was coming unannounced.
Oh that's such a smart Idea I'm definitely going to do that from now on! 😂😂😂
Love this so much! Makes me want one!
You could definitely make one!
Thank goodness I found this video! Amazing tutorial! Literally going to do this for my living room!

I already have an ottoman but it’s a brown leather. I wonder if I can use this video to cover it.
You definitely could if you want it to have new fabric! :)
Looks amazing, nice work thanks for sharing! 👍

Wow!

Wow 😳 really very good job 👍👏

It would be a perfect safe house for your cat. You should add a door to it 😻
Haha omg it would!
Me watching the intro looking at the decor in the background searching for credibility…as if I ever do diys. Lol 💀
Haha! You could definitely do some DIYs. A diy can be as easy or difficult as you want it to be! 😂😂😂
Make a junk lamp! Low cost, low risk, few tools, and lots of tutorial videos.
Best DIY Ottoman I've seen yet....except lost me at sewing lol
Noooo not with the sewing! You can do it I promise haha! And thank you so much, that means a lot!
@@MaileyElaine I'll give it a good hard crack lol... thanks
How much did this end up costing?
about $250
Love our Bonnie girl appearance
Oh you know she’s my girl!

I could never do DIY‘s I procrastinate too much
Haha oh I'm a procrastinator as well so I started a RUclips channel... it's very motivating! 😂😂😂
