I am son sad right now, I really do want to go to these furry cons and other stuff, its just work and work and work all the time and no time for this and that. I haven't even made my fursuit yet, and I really do need help with it on tutorials on making fursuits in different ways.
A problem for the growth of Furry Fandom is the unavailability of fursuits. All I find of any quality are closed for commissions and even existing jobs are stated won't be ready until as long as mid-next year. We have not be able to find any company even accepting jobs nor are stock suits available anywhere I can find.
Waiting for slots opening is a huge part of fursuit commissioning. I'm currently doing that. What am I doing in the meantime? Continuing to save. The more you wait and save, the less money trouble you'll have, and the smoother the commission process will go. You'll be able to pounce as soon as they open and secure your slot. It's simply how the industry works, it's not the fault of fandom growth. All fandom growth has done is created a flow of tons of new and young fursuit makers, and more and more homemade suits.
Aah. Handlers. My mum is meant to be my handler but I'll just say, she's not amazing at it. I was at a meet and see had left me outside a shop with the rest of the group. This drunk guy came over being disgusting and talking about my chest. no one around me helped me despite how much I was trying to duck down to get away. At this point I move a heck of a lot when I fursuit. my mum can't keep up with me. We went mostly small ComicCons so she looked at stalls but my tail wouldn't slow me to stand still in the crowd but outside I was running around with kids. I'm more energetic in suit (Till I nearly pass out and get heat stroke at a Pride parade)
I just finished watching Part 1 an hour and 50 minutes ago. EDIT- 4:22 P.M.: *finishes video 40 minutes later* The *only* thing that I didn't know about was the 6-2-1/6-2-1-8 rule. And even then, I knew about everything mentioned in the rule.

+zoe kasko Well, like Hogwash said (dunno his actual name) the two types are HotGear and ColdGear. HotGear keeps your sweat against your body. ColdGear wicks the sweat away from your body. There are pros and cons for both of them. *HotGear:* Pro: Keeps your fursuit from getting sweaty, smelly and wet/keeps it dry and clean. Con: Your sweat is kept against your skin. *ColdGear:* Pro: Keeps your body from getting hot and sweaty. Con: Makes your fursuit sweaty, smelly and wet. Basically it's all down to what you can deal with better.
I have a squeaker I use it at school and in public I dont care if I make embarrass myself cause thats just who I am + I has 2 best friends that r furries but we r young and they squeak with me :D
Not really- if you just threw it in the wash like any old piece of clothing it would get damaged. Some suits can be washed that way, but on a delicate cycle, cold wash only, and folded inside out to protect the fur fibers. But its a thing to check with the maker of the suit, also not a good idea to do it to any suits with air brushing. Heads are also surface clean only- they cant be soaked in water at all, generally the inside is disinfected and dried out and the outside is also disinfected, wiped clean or just spot cleaned when needed. Any fans are generally kept inside the head, so since they aren't soaked anyways the electronics usually isn't an issue, there are some body suits with led lights however, but those can usually be taken out when the suit needs to be washed, same goes for any foam padding and whatever else cant be wet.
FUCKENHATELIFE _ save up, find a verity of fursuit makers, wait until you're 18 especially because of a full on suit. Don't wanna grow out of a 2,100 dollar fursuit.

One of my fur suits is a squeaker, I only squeak hello and bye bye and that's it. I keep it simple.
