All good Shay...Grainy is the way I view the world always...Sometimes (most times?) things are not so clear, and it requires us to use our critical thinking skills to discern what is the reality versus what others tell us/want us to believe...More travels to mountains and remote locations (solitude) will help in that endeavor IMO...Such trips help us break away from the group speak/think...You're on the right track, love that for you... Yah Bless 🙏 👍😎👍
Fun with family and friends, despite the rain. You're a wonderful writer, narrator and videographer. I love the style of your work. Your selection of music compliments your storytelling and it all comes together in a beautiful composition. (I now have two favorites from your video library) Well done Ms. Shay! Well done. Thanks for sharing the adventure. Thank you, Mr. Bacon for making their trip possible.
Hi Shay, love the video, nice. Just like you said and I believe too, it's the memories we all make and have is what's life's about. Just lost my mother, passing peacefully away Saturday evening @ the age of 81. Time spent with family before and after loss always brings special momeries. Regards to you children and all your family and friends. Cheers 😉
The past couple of years, I have transitioned to a more minimalist lifestyle. There has been so much regret as I have made countless trips to the dump to throw away so much that had lost it’s magic. For several days, I spent time with orphans in a Thai refugee camp. I slept under mosquito nets in a bamboo hut and it was certainly outside my comfort zone but it transformed my worldview; 1. people, not things are what matter and 2. I have so much…give to help those in need.
@@reflections_with_Shay Good for you…I genuinely have a strong distaste for possessions beyond necessities…I constantly think…how can I get rid this, sell that, give this away. A cluttered life, clutters the mind and creates stress. Best wishes on your minimalist journey. WARNING: My quest has been met with resistance from family and friends
I actually see how much of the Western Mentality is brought to the Philippines, the "Keeping Up with the Jones" mentality, who has the best house, car, location etc etc and how trapped they are by Western consumerism. Must be seen in Starbucks mentality. In Thailand I always try to stay in family houses when I see "Room for Rent" sign and have had amazing times sitting around with the family, they are amazing people, salt of the Earth. I intend to do the same in Philippines, meet the people, learn their culture and see many beautiful places, flora and fauna! I do that wherever I go, be it France, Italy, Spain, Australia or wherever....am a Traveler not a Tourist.
so beautiful as always all the Philippines is so wonderful when looking past the city life oh and the view on the mountain side so very nice and pretty especially up close the green backside well very nice lol all done in wonderful taste
"“The stories you create with someone last for ever" ... undeniably ... Enchanting and so calming video, expertly filmed, that will not lose its magic after a while … Thank you Shay for sharing this inviting journey, its mellowness, its tranquillity, the family bond … A delightful escape that makes me dream of your magnificent islands, always so increasingly magnetising …
Another story that will surely stand the test of time. A video your friends and family will watch always to see your smile and beauty. Thank you. Prayers and thoughts to those suffering from the typhoon. Stay safe. Much love from France x
you have such beautiful advice, I love it. I've met many ladies who were very materialistic, not my cup of tea. Even though I had lots of money, a big house, etc. I prefer the type who want the memories, like you said.
All beautiful places to explore and have fun.. the spider web and the slide.. love them both, but the one that was most heartfelt was the breath taking beauty of that amazing church and all it's glorious view . That , for me would be the happiest and most wonderful place in the world for a man and his loving filipina to get married. I have never seen anything like it. Thank you Shay .
Experiences and memories make us who we are without them we are nothing. Nicely filmed Shay it looks like everyone had a lot of fun. I recognized a few RUclipsrs, it looks like you all have become friends. Salamat po.
Shay ... loved your video. I just found you and will continue to watch every one. Take care, be safe and maybe we cross paths when I get over there this winter.
Hello Shay-I've landed here from Maya's channel because I was impressed by your calm and intelligent manner. I'll stick around to see more content from you and get to know your style
I'm enjoying the tour from the dry comfort of my living room chair. Lucky me. 😀 thank you Shay for filming. And thank you Mr Bacon for sponsoring the trip. That was thoughtful.

Hi Shay, nice to see you, family and friends having fun, even if the weather could be better :-), BTW, forcast says better weather next Sunday then this Sunday ?, Mikee...
Hello Shay. It's at least my fourth time watching this wonderful video. It's one of my favorites. Have you ever considered camping at Vista Panoramical. Though chilly at night, it looks like it would be a fabulous experience and an awesome vlog. It's great that you shared the experience with your daughters, Jessel and her mother.
That's a great suggestion Frank! I have a few other scripts/projects I'm working on (which is why it's taking me so long to put out these videos,) but I love camping, so that might be a good one as you say. Thank you again for your encouragment!
@@reflections_with_Shay Anything I can do for you is my pleasure. Thanks for considering this and making me happy about my suggestion. I'll look forward to the video. Do your daughters enjoy camping also?
I hope when I move to Dumaguete within the next year to year and half we can be friends and travel the islands of the Philippines with you your kids and your boyfriend. I seen all the places you have been before on other videos but you seem to make the more beautiful and inviting
@@reflections_with_Shay Shay there is something I find fascinating, the love you have to continue to uplift your sisters. It's very beautiful. Ruth was a godly woman in God's words in the Bible. We are fortunate to witness in woman like you on earth today.

I have been trying to become a minimalist too. I find happiness in a place having to see nothing but a few stuff. Less stuff, less clutter.
