Opposites do attract initially, but it never.lasts, as eventually one will concede power or control to the other. Short term, this can work, or infrequently, but if this happens too often, the one conceding will either feel frustrated, taken advantage of, or an inferior to the other will definitely cause friction and an eventual end of the relationship. When both can feel worthwhile and valuable contrbutors to the relationship it has a much better chance of succeeding. Recognizing that almost all of today's relationships involve both people working, we must cooperate with each other even more so today than ever before. A relationship that's successful does have teamwork involved as it does function as a partnership with the addition of love making it even more challenging. Relationships are thought of to be a 50/50 situation, but are rarely exactly equal, as emotions rise and fall continually. Each partner must always attempt to be supportive when the other is in need. Intelligence level should be similar, as good conversation results from this, which in turn helps the chance of a longer lasting relationship. Emotional level can be a little less equal in balance, as long as the stronger emotionally doesn't mind putting in more effort in support of the other.

THere is attraction and then there are relationships. Its sooooo easy to simply be attractive to each other. Its quite to BE with someone. We DO have to get to a certain age before we become emotionally stable. Personal egos and anger are much less important the more emotionally mature we become. When we are young we dont pay NEAR enough attention to INTENT in conversations. We are more prone to assume someone is disrespecting when that is not at all the case. When we are emotionally mature power becomes a useful TOOL to solve problems. Not a path to domination and control. EACH person has their own power and any decent leader understands you cant TAKE power away from someone......leaders become leaders through TRUST. THEN someone shares some of their power with you to accomplish a goal because they trust your instincts to handle their power if a good way for both. Relationships fall apart without the level of mutual respect and trust.
