I’ve always wondered how people made digital brushes that look like real textures like watercolor or even pencil brushes. I have learned that you just have to physically paint them out so that’s cool!
Great video! I love how clear you make all the steps, I’ve played around with adjusting brushes but now I’m inspired to maybe try making my own! I’m a textile print designer and graphic artist and I really like your brush packs and agree that a pack with a few really good brushes that each serve a different purpose but work together well is far more useful than a huge pack of just ok or redundant brushes.
This was so well informed! I loved all those textures and patterns you created traditionally😍 i made a pencil brush set for Procreate last year and I've been thinking of making another set, i think this was a sign🤩 thank you❤
Thank you so much. I always wanted to make a set of brushes that were really personal and more meaningful to certain projects. Just an idea you could sell the brushes that you thought were okay but didn’t work for you. They might work for other people.😊
I'd never thought of making my own brushes before, thank you for sharing! I've now made one in Paint Shop Pro while watching this. I used to take photos of things for textures in my digital art so it'll be fun to make some brushes out of the photos!
ANd this vid gave me so much inspiration on how to make a stamp brush in procreate and I'm now thinking of getting a surface pro laptop tablet combo unit to do things the way you showed them in this video! and how you first painted on paper the brush shape you were going for and then scanning into the program of PS is just about what I do when I first paint a flower shape I love really well and then copy-ing and pasting it into the brush + at the top of the brush dropdown in procreate. But I think I'll try one in all dark color first like a dark black or grey and then after getting the brush right I could just change the color when actually using the brush couldn't I? I've got to try this Immediately! Thanks so much for just that much of a tweaking in my thought process!
How exciting, it was a very useful tutorial. And it shows how much time and effort it takes to make even a small set of brushes. Thank you, Mimi. I will sign up for your sample brushes and try them out. Thank you for your generosity. I couldn't help but notice your great workstation setting. May I ask what Mac do you have and is this an apple pen you use on the screen? It was the most captivating to me. )))
I'm using a Microsoft Surfacebook laptop 😊 I recently made a video about the gear that I use that you might find helpful: ruclips.net/video/AdoDUtOzBF4/видео.html
@@MimimooIllustration Thank you, very much, Mimi! Oh, I guess I missed that video - will go to watch it now. Added - Ah.... I guess they replace your laptop with Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2, the sad part they downsized the screen size
I’m making a set of watercolour brushes for Procreate. It’s lots of work and testing and adjusting. And maybe I need to ask someone else to test some of them…
absolutely! I’ve had a friend of mine who sells brushes ask me to try some and give feedback because sometimes you just don’t realize what others might notice ! 😊
It's hard to know where to start, isn't it! Hopefully the demonstration at the end of this video helped a little, and I also have a free beginner Procreate/Photoshop tutorial as part of my starter kit: subscribepage.io/mimimooillustration 🥰
Let me know if you've had a chance to try my new brushes, or if you've been making a set of your own! 🥰🖌✨
Thank you for this video I learnt a lot

What is the name of this drawing technique as i really like it
I bought them but since I'm a beginner, I'm a bit lost how to draw and make the texture effects
