Yep, definitely find that here in New Zealand.. especially in the rural parts.. you see a "ford ranger" in your rear view mirror about a 1000 meters back, then you look again and it's right up your behind with a row of cars behind him.
Awh stop it’s a nightmare they literally touching your bumper! Like follow the rules and get of my bumper 😂😂 no wonder so many crashes and deaths on the road but hey we just need to adapt 😅
It's worth noting that the NZ winter this year was on the colder side in the scheme of things. So for anyone used to the cold, many NZ winters will be much warmer than they're used to.
Your joking!? we feel like its summer here haha. the weather has been amazing actually compared to back home in our home countries. even though its summer back home too.
What I was enjoying was the part where you were looking at the cows. Seems like the cows were talking back to you. But the farm sure looks great and worth the experience. Regards 🇿🇦.
It must be a down under thing, drivers here in Perth ,totally ignore the speed limit, and love to drive right up as close as they can get. I slam on the breaks, freaks them out, they soon learn.
Those cars probably started life-in Japan, then Australia, then to New Zealand then onto Cook Islands. The south Island it snowed on me in June so couldn't go to Milford Sound.
Am from the BOP and is a great place to reside. Close to nature, not far from the beach, good soil to grow your own fruit & vegies etc. Is good you guys are helping out doing some of the simple things most of us Kiwis would ignore. Great job guys👍
Frank it’s such a beautiful place full of surprises! Haha we just want to survive and pay for the fuel and food while experiencing the kiwi life and seeing the country! Hope you have a wonderful day my friend 🙂
I couldn't believe when I heard South Island alone is bigger then Ireland, the climate of New Zealand is so much more extreme then what we see up here in Ireland too!!
@@GlenAndMado it's been terribly wet and cold weather lately which often keeps people inside. But I think there's been a few good snow dumps in the South Island to attract the skiers.
Great to hear your experiences. I'm from the UK & I'm thinking of doing a working holiday to NZ. Interesting you say it's quiet this time of year and difficult to make connections. This is my worst fear tbh as I font want to travel all that way just to struggle to meet people. Would you recommend Auckland over Queenstown? I'm considering both to live & work. Cheers 💙
Should be okay to make connections just come during the summer and I’d say you’ll be okay! A lot of people actually dislike Auckland and many said they would never live there. Your honest opinion is we wouldn’t stay there either as we weren’t feeling it either. Never been to queens town yet but it should be better then Auckland 😂 you should definitely come and experience it though as time is ticking so get out exploring and make some nice memories 👌
@@GlenAndMado Thanks both, brilliant to hear your thoughts on which city. I definitely feel that ticking clock rn with your summer soon approaching 😅 I hear Queenstown has a lot of bagpackers and accommodation options are pretty bad with hostels being the only option but hopefully it's possible to find somewhere to rent out? Hopefully there are enough people on the South Island for it to not be too quiet!
@@benm9727 were also just new to New Zealand and adapting to the new lifestyle here. we have decided to only do 10months while travelling the whole country :) It seems accommodation is pretty bad anywhere you go but if your eager enough you should come across a place! it really all depends on what you want to do and work as? I mean you could do small jobs on the go and travel the country which would be an easier option and buy a cheap converted car or van and live in it. (very popular here by the way) easy to pick something up at a very affordable price! anyways we haven't been to the south island yet and can't give you the full story on what goes on down there right now but will definitely be documenting it. It has very little people though and everyone knows each other I've heard, the south has a lot less people then the north anyways id say 1.1million in the south and the remaining in the north haha.
They are in a fairly rural area mate stick to the cities and you'll meet heaps of people no problem kiwis like to engage with travelers as we are so far away from everything and everyone....oh and don't get me wrong about the country folk they are very friendly there's just less of them so harder to meet I guess....coz maths.
Hello, im from Barcelona, Spain, and I would like to go as an au pair or just study in the UK, but I dont really know where to go. Any city recomended?
Guten tag Mado and Glen, thanks for sharing the video, love the nature, avocado and oranges, hope you will make more friends when the weather gets warmer. Crimes generally happen in and around the city, “surprised” to hear it’s even in the country side as well. Well, take care and stay safe. Quick question guys, wouldn’t you be falling off the earth since you are south of the equater😮😂

@@GlenAndMado yes you are true there are people that take risks if you know the road which give overseas people a different perspective but see where your comming from
Sorry guys, but the drivers in the South Island are just as bad, also we have a surge in crime as a lot of the perpetrators are youth and there is bugger all consequence for their crimes, which is why they carry on doing it.
Awh good to know but we haven’t got there yet but so excited to reach there when the weather improves 🙂🙂 anyways we just need to be cautious about the crime and adapt to the current situation 🙂

I don't understand im confused you got offered a place to stay from a strainger in a previous video your eating better than i do for free on kiwi hospitality well maybe a bit of light work to be fair to you but you don't think the north is friedly?
Hey Andrew hope your well! Basically we are staying at this place in return for 10hours each helping around the land 🙂 we buy our own groceries and basically did abit of other work on an orchard and got some avocados and fruits from them as there had been many knocked from the trees due to the strong winds just to clear it up! We never said the north is non friendly but basically saying what others have said that the south is abit more friendly but we still need to experience it for ourselves 🤣
Ok I guess ......but they are only friendly because most of the year they have nobody to talk to.....and the highlanders cheat....that has nothing to do with you but any southerners reading this Wii know.😔

Maybe they were talking to us and we have magic cow talking skills 😂 yeah was only a small farm but was awesome to be there for 3 months 😃
yes we arent as relaxed as we like to think we are. youre in high traffic part of NZ currently but the further south you go the better it gets.

The NZ land area is bigger than the UK and if NZ was moved to Europe the North Island would be in Spain.
