I HAVE BOTH OF THESE AMP CLAMS, I LIKE THE ESI ONE JUST A BIT MORE I GOT THE PDI CLAMP WITH THE FIRST SCOPE I EVER GOT A FLUKE 196 BECAUSE THE SNAP ON HERITAGE MT2400 VANTAGE WAS THE TRUE FIRST BUT IT WAS NOT TRULY A SCOPE MORE OF A GMM. YOUR REVIEWS ARE JUST WHAT WE AUTO-TECHS LOVE TO SEE THANKS AND GREAT CHANNEL !!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on the new tool😉 It's always a great feeling un-boxing new tool's, this is a good subject to make video's on, tool reviews are very helpful especially when done by professionals like you👍 ES always makes good tool's & they're reasonably priced as well, looking forward to more videos👍 Stay Safe Bro❤
nice.... i have 2 of the snapon 308d and 1 of mac tools latest release... not sure of the part numbers, but they work well....no auto shut off. so keeping spare 9 volt batterys is a must for me because i always seem to forget to turn it off
@@DallasAutoDiag i think you get what you pay for....i bought the snap on based on reviews which also showed side by side along with the one of the pico and fluke....and the mac tools latest amp probe is on par with snapon...and yes they are pricey....esp 2 of the same snapon ringing close to 800 after tax!! .... im one that don't like to find out i have a flawed "something" so i try and do a little research on pricey items i buy.... most pricey item is my zues by a mile
I have to choose between 2 clamp meters : due to low budget at the moment 1- Uni T UT210E mini pro, with these DC ranges: Volt (0.1mv - 600v) Amp (0.1mA - 100A) ➡️Good for parasitic draw test, but don't go for high ranges 2- kaiweets HT208D, with these DC ranges : Volt (600 mv - 1000 v) Amp (60A - 1000A) ➡️ No low reading for parasitic draw test, but has high ranges Can I choose the first one to do most car diagnoses as a hobbyist , or I need both types? ☺️💛Thanks
Personally, I would start with a quality low amp probe. You're going to run into far more problems where a low amp clamp will be your best friend. You can do a relative compression test just fine with a GMM.
The clam with the smaller opening is more sensitive and is not designed for larger wire that carrries higher amperage

I was gonna buy the snap on but it was too pricy for me.

I have watched this video twice, I am confused, which one would you recommend?
Sorry for making you confused. I do have both, actually. Each has its use, but I would recommend the new one just because it has bigger clamps.
what is the time frame before the auto power off
I didn't time it. Sorry
Can this probe be used with the PicoScope or any scope?
Yes
@@DallasAutoDiag I have to look around for the proper cable set to do that and documentation.
