I love coffee very much...nice vlog...
I love coffee. There's just something relaxing about the drink.
This is brilliantly done in every aspect and the beginning is just awesome to give that rainy day feeling 👍
Very impressive
We got ours today😀🍾🎊👌🏼Thank you for the video👍🏻
Hey nice video
Well
Done!
my dream set up ...!! it's a very nice Video
Hi dude, very nicely done by the way. Really chilled out watching that. Just wondering if you tamp after the distribution?
Awesome vid,I have the same grinder, slow the pour down,go 2 macro adj finer, pls make more vids, sooo cool.
Great video! It seems like the espresso community hates on every little thing and makes no mistakes themselves! Looked great to me and awesome cinematography! Keep at it. I’ll keep making sour shots on my barista express for the time being 😂
😂
Nice !
Did you use one espresso or 2 for your cappuccino?

seems a bit bubbly at the start, do you purge off any really hot water at the start before you pull a shot?
Great video! I reckon maybe a touch finer on the grind maybe? Comes out very quick and is blonde by 12 seconds. Depends on the taste though of course. Keep the relaxing videos coming!
Yes, I did adjust that after that :).
Very nice video :D ! Well done also with the leaf design, the extraction looked very good.
Espresso extraction is a little too fast, no? Perhaps you can grind a bit finer n make a stringer tamping.
Yes, its very fast. Im not sure they tamped at all, which might be the reason. That or grind size as you said. Also curious as to why they grind into the catch bin when the 270wi can grind direct into the portafilter... lol
There are short espresso pulls. As there are long shots. They may prefer this. But I don’t know.😁
I bought apartamento with faustino grinder , is that a good choice? I am a new to all that so bought something not that expensive but not sure if this is a good choice thanks
I enjoyed watching, and listening, to the routine. How do you find the vacuum canister?
I got the vacuum canister for about 2 months. It is pretty good so far. Let us see if it can last for years to come.

No tamper ? I love this Rocket, my next game !
Thanks
relaxing video, good job! seeing the 1st pitcher being from Breville had me thinking if you upgraded from Breville to Rocket. if yes, may you share your experience, I'm considering it.
Yes, I upgraded from 870 Express. Rocket is much more consistent with same set of configs.
@@junfengdong thank you. any downsides/regrets? I've heard the water reservoir can run empty in middle of pulling shots without a notice. or drip tray doesn't catch water if you don't have portafilter attached.
@@sinanikkhah6936 Only had one time that the water reservoir was empty. I try to keep it is full daily. I don’t have any issues for drip tray. Except it is pretty small.
Beautiful video! Kudos to you!
May I ask where the cup is from? It looks beautiful!
Best regards from The Netherlands!
The cup is from loveramics
What’s brand is your collar? I’ve been looking for one that fits around the portafilter instead of sitting inside the basket for a long time
Don’t know what he’s using but the Decent portafilter funnel is very good but pricey
Beautiful to watch! I'm about to get my first espresso machine. Was thinking to go the Breville route but have started looking at the Rocket Apartamento! Would you say it's overkill for a beginner? Is it diffcult to use and how long does it take to heat up?
Rocket isn’t reliable compared with Breville. I am about to send mine for a repair.
@@junfengdong Oh really?
@@junfengdong what happened to your espresso machine?
Try the Gaggia Classic Pro
My Oracle has been replaced three times by Breville in the last year 🙁Looking for other options…
Hi there, great video! I have the sette 270 model and the same rocket machine. Just got the a couple of days ago. Not pulled a hood shot yet 🙈😒😤 what setting on the grinder would you recommend for drinking espresso? Also what are the shot glasses your using as mine can’t fit with my scale under the spouts
For different coffee beans, we will need to have different settings. For a new bean, I often starts with 6E. Then use timer and scale aiming for ~30 seconds brewing time and yielding ~twice amount of espresso. For instance, giving 18 g of beans, I am aiming 36g espresso within ~30 seconds. If somehow, it takes less time, e.g. 20 seconds to reach 36g espresso, then I’d adjust the grinder to finer. Otherwise, adjust the grinder coarser. You might also increase/decrease the dose as well. But adjust grinder settings at first. Then dose accordingly.
Another tip is that once a type of beans has been dialed in, take notes for all settings. Then next time for a same beans, we can start the those settings so that we can quickly dial in.
The shot glass is Rhino Coffee Gear Espresso - Shot Pitcher - 3 ounce
JF Dong thanks man 🙏
Not flushing to get rid of the hot water since this is a HX machine? Not purging the steam wand?
I did. But I did not record every detailed step.
Hey, what grinder and scales are these
I am planning for apartamento.what are your thoughts and any issues so far??
How big is the drip tray on the appartamento? My scale is 6" deep and it doesn't look like it will fit.
Place the scale sideways? I had another scale which is bigger and I had placed it sideways. It worked but ideal.
What grinder is this? Lovely video ❤️
Thanks very much for liking the video. The grinder is Baratza Sette 270Wi.
No tamp, no cooling flush?
How long do you have to wait from you turn on the machine to you can make coffee on the rocket machine?
I’ve heard 30mins
The spooning out of the coffee was very frustrating
Single dosing on the sette Wi? Could of saved 100 step down a model.
Yep. Should have bought niche zero Instead.
I am genuinely curious why you weigh your beans instead of using the weighing function of the 270WI. Does it make sense to not get the WI?
The weighing function of the 270WI is not accurate at all. In my video, I didn’t show that I also used scale to weigh the grounded beans again to make sure consistency every time for the same beans. Also it is much easier to deal in. I don’t recommend 270WI. I’d suggest to buy 270W instead. Then buy a good scale/timer instead.
I was also surprised to see a dedicated scale used to weigh the coffee. I also own the 270wi, and find it to be very accurate. It’s scale is made by Acaia, who are renowned, as your dedicated scales show, for very accurate coffee weighing scales. Maybe you need to recalibrate the scale on the Sette, as is recommended if needed. I don’t as yet have as nice a coffee machine though...we’re treating ourselves to the Appartamento Nera in the near future...can’t wait.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to recalibrate it. I also suspect that as I am only doing one dose at a time, it might contribute the accuracy issue.
@@junfengdong The weighing function is extremely accurate but not if you continually single dose.
As the Wi grinder has built in scales why not utilise them. I put a collar in the portafila and place the unit on the bars. I have program 1 set at 18grams so hit the start button and it usually stops bang on. Occasionally it stops 0.1 over or under but that's okay for me. I froth the milk and pour it from the same jug I frothed it in. Such an expensive machine not to use the scale function. Puzzled!
How can you survive without at least pouring your steamed milk into a second pitcher? If not a third or a forth?
wasnt coffee flowing too fast? get a naked portafilter to assess grind
I think You missed the buss to work ;)
Nice. Out of curiosity how long does the machine take to warm up fully from turning on?
From what I read, the appartamento takes around 30 min, quite a long time but worth it.
Who has 30 minutes in the morning jesus!
@@sexntuna you can get a wifi outlet plug so it will turn on whenever you want and be ready to use when you wake up 😊
Camera and lens?
Fujifilm xs 10 with 35 mm f1.4.
Your grinder already has a scale, why not grind directly into your portafilter especially if you have that funnel thing? Whats the point of weighing your beans?
there isnt really haha. the 270wi doses pretty perfectly from what ive seen XD
@@thebritgamerhd huh? Your grinder doesn't have a scale?
Sorry but judging the colour and your timing, the grinding was too course, and the espresso suboptimal. nice video though!!!
Yes, when I making this video, I just got new beans. Hasn’t dialed in yet. I didn’t expect many reviews for the video. Thanks a lot to provide feedback :)
No tamping?
Yes, no tamping. I have tested using naked portafilter and no tamping got very good and consistent results.
I've heard others also describe that they find the results from using a distributor sufficient and don't need to tamp.
@@ykhemani yes no tamping can bring good results, but depends from the height you set it
At what height did you set it?
Why didn't you steam your milk in the same jar you poured with? Why didn't you steam and pull the shot at the same time? Isn't that the advantage of a dual boiler?
It’s not a dual
@@transitory3368 its a heat exchanger machine, you can brew and steam at the same time
Canceling ,😂
Jesus I bet it was cold by the time you had finished praying about

tamping?!
I am using BT Wedge Distribution tool and thus no tamping is needed. Tested using naked portafilter and results were pretty good. With tamping, I, myself, introduces a variable, I.e. every time I might produce different pressures or probably not level at all. Hence, it might not be consistent.
@@junfengdong First of all, great video man! Keep’em coming!
But as @bbr mentioned, tamping would really enhance the quality of your shots. The speed at which the crema pours through those spouts is a dead giveaway. You’re looking at almost 38g of liquid in around 20 seconds of brew time. That’s comparable to most shots pulled with a pressurized basket. I think you could do so much better with the setup that you have.
Anyway, that’s just my 2 cents. Would like to see some more videos of that machine in action. Hopefully with some tamping this time ;)
Thanks very much for the feedback. Yes, when I took the video, I didn’t dial in yet. Later I adjusted the grinder setting and doses.
@@junfengdong ye 40 ml in like 20 sek is way to fast

terrible angle on the pouring of the milk, but other than that, it was an awesome video.

Good video bad coffee. There is no way that that espresso tastes good. But okay under-extracted light coffee can make good milk based drink.
