  • Wearing clip-in hair extensions on a regular basis can mean that clips become loose or break. For this reason, it’s important to know how to sew clips on hair extensions.
With ZALA hair extensions, it’s easy to replace clips in just a few minutes. In this tutorial, our team will show you how to sew clips into hair extensions.
    What you’ll need:
The hair extension missing a clip
    Scissors
    A needle
Thread in a color similar to your hair extensions
Spare clips - you receive two spare clips in every ZALA clip-in hair extension set!
How to Sew Clips on Extensions:
Step 1: Cut around 50 centimetres (20 inches) of thread. Pass the thread through the needle and pull the ends to meet.
Step 2: Tie a couple knots in the thread and cut off the excess that remains at the end.
Step 3: Place a clip at the end of the weft.
Step 4: Starting with the outer holes, sew two or three loops through each hole. Wrap each loop around the side of the weft.
Step 5: Tie two or three knots and then cut the thread.
Step 6: Move onto the inner holes, starting at the top. Use an “over-and-under” technique.
Step 7: Secure the middle section of the clip by sewing between the teeth and top of the clip.
Step 8: Repeat with the rest of the clips along the weft.
Now you know how to sew clips on hair extensions, you’ll be able to fix the clips on your extensions whenever necessary!

Can I cut my extension at the top to make let's say a 5 clip piece into a 3 and 2 clip piece or will it unravel?

    HELP!!!
    1. Which way does the wig clip lie onto the hair weft as you are sewing it in? If clip is closed should the shape of the curve look like like a small bowl....OR is the curve facing upward like a bump? (remember: clip is closed)
    2. Are you sticking the needle through the of the weft seam ?? Because I'm having a hard time getting my needle through the tough fabric of the seem. should I go at the very bottom of the weft seam (right underneath it) where I can actually go in through where the hair meets the seam....?
Please answer! I'm desperate to get these clips sewn in.
