I went stealth camping on a haunted tiny Island off Phuket Thailand! DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS!
I swam to the island with some takeaway Pad Thai from a nearby street vendor. It was great to learn a little bit of the history of Phuket and the original inhabitants of the island. Phuket was not a very welcoming place a thousand years ago as it was covered with inpenetrable jungle and uneven terrain. Unfortunately all of the jungle was cut down to make way for rubber plantations, so all of the ancient rainforest is now part of history.
I sample a bit of the local food in a busy market and had fun using the unique bus system that they have here in Thailand. The diving is amazing on the Kata / Karon side of the island and I showcase my experience find tons of fish and starfish. I climbed to the big Buddah and saw some monkeys.

That was awesome. One of your best yet. Underwater footage was super. I’ve been to Thailand. Can’t say I would have the stones to cowboy camp with all those fanged critters out there. We’ll done.
Hey Jamie! Cheers mate! I enjoyed my time in Phuket, its cool that I found some adventure here, you should see how crazy the tourism is now, its totally overcrowded. Snakes need water to hunt etc, so usually dont find many on such a tiny island. But definitely spiders, but not crazy venemous ones. Its good to have the gopro back.
Forget the fanged ones, did you see that monkey in one clip? Those things are worse than anything venemous in my opinion lol they harass you on principle, probably one of the few animals that actually make me nervous because like humans they are so unpredictable. Cute but I could never sleep outside if there were any monkey or apes nearby. A spider or snake is pretty predictable, even big cats like lions and tigers are predictable and can be deterred, not so easy with primates, never know what's going through their head. Is it being friendly saying hi, or about to rip off your face? You never know, so I don't mess with that!
@@-desertpackrat so true bru, I kind of didnt factor them in cos they so small. But keep in mind those monkeys were on the main island of phuket. The tiny island I slept on had no monkeys. But islands in the future might have them :)
@@rangatrips oh good, yeah they're so innocent looking but I've heard stories even the little ones can be a bit vicious 😂 my dad had his hair yanked pretty violently by someone's pet Capuchin in his 20s. Kind of like a wild toddler with no self control, scary!

This is awesome, you're so underrated, I haven't seen anyone swim to their stealth spot yet. Also cool information about the location. It looks really cool. I'd be afraid of monkeys being in the jungle though. Snakes, spiders, wasps, bears, coyotes, cougars, javelina, raccoons, I can handle those. Monkeys are one of the few undeterrable animals, I'd be worried they'd harass me or take my stuff lol
Hey Jess! Cheers mate, so long as the vids keep getting better, eventually will get up. Actually I never even considered monkeys, but yeah im from cape town and we got some hardcore baboons there. They are smart and never give up. But yeah now im scared of thai monkeys cos if they steal my bag i got my passport in there lol! Ummmmm a monkey stole it??? Cheers for the support mate!

Awesome mate! If you are around Kalim, check out the abandoned buildings at the top end of beach, on the hill... they are half built and abandoned hotels, Cafes etc. They have amazing views and would make great place to camp.

Hi Lezley! Wow it has changed alot since then let me tell you. You wont have the same experience, the place is completely jam packed with tourists... but I must say, it is really clean here compared to other SE Asia countries.

Hey cheers mate! Thank you for sharing! Last time you doubled my subs! Thats a great idea with the tape. I usually carry tape, but was confiscated at the airport. Theres tons of weed shops here and can openly smoke and buy whatever u want lol. Might venture in one in the next episode. Shoul I put HRS in the title?
@rangatrips fantastic definitely stop in a weed store that would be awesome. HRS is still a new thing but alot of the alliance members know what that means so should help. But any time you have bad weather make sure you put that in the title. People like to see you suffer our there. Love your stuff
