The original Kamen Rider is being remastered for 4K in Japan which peaks my curiosity when these two series get remastered. (Black and Black RX) They might end up having different color timing, and all new extras. Someone will pick up the movies.

Awesome run down on the blu ray! After I saw Black Sun, I want to see the original source material here but can't seem to find a way to stream it, so might have to pick up the blu ray! I really like how this one went more mature to attract and include adult viewers to great effect...
Yeah, this one is not streaming at all as Discotek only has the rights for video.

Here's an update. I started Kamen Rider Black last week. I'm four episodes in and yeah this show is good but um it's depressing. I had to stop myself from watching episode 5 that day because I think I was just going to break down.
What did you find depressing about it?
Maybe it's the fact that Kotaro's life is a lie or people affected by Gorgom's influences. I don't know but I just want to give Kotaro a hug

I hope somehow they come up with a movie set of just the Kamen Rider movies and this is more RX related and I suppose *Mild Spoilers* but I really hope we get a release of the RX movie that features both Black and RX that they did at the end of RX. I have never seen any translation for it and it seems to be pretty obscure.
I wouldn't be surprised if Toei licenses the movies likethey have been released in Japan. A 71-88 movie set.
Don't remember an Rx movie though.
The Black and Black RX "Team up" was subbed. I remember seeing the special with English subtitles.

I finished 27 Episodes of Kamen Rider BLACK Blu-Ray that I first time watched a week in a half ago. I hope if you can do Sonic X Japanese Sub Blu-Ray review which is uncensored Anime
I may some day, but no idea when. I've still got a lot of Toku to go through along with more Lupin and a Digimon Season 1 set to review.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork damn, Discotek really did a lot of liscens Lupin the Third and rescuded from other companys from VHS and DVD's wit some different Eng Dubs by Streamline, Manga, Pioneer/Geneon, and some movies were dubed by Funimation back in the 90s to 2000s
Just finished kamen ride black kinda sad how Kyoko and katsumi was left out in end and doesn’t comeback to rx
I always wondered why they never returned in Rx for at least an episode or two, if nothing else.

Now that i an caught up on shout’s sentai releases (minus Fiveman, have yet to decide on it) this will probably be my next toku buy. Will probably order at the start of june

Hope discotec releases the rest of the space sheriff trilogy soon but if not in oder, would love to get Noboru Sugimura metal hero shows as well
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't hear anything from Shout! until SDCC. Discotek will probably announce Black Rx for an August release. After that, I wouldn't expect anything to be announced until Rx is released.

Europe has an another Region Code. That means, I could only watch it with an US or region free BluRay Player. These are really expensive and really hard to find outside the internet. 😅
I know that feeling. I recently picked up an all region player so I could import some stuff from the UK like the JU-On set that Arrow Video released and decided to also pick up Second Sight's Dawn of the Dead and Hammer's The Mummy sets.
This was like Guyver, if Cronos Corporation had a cult and its Mutants were an inspiration by the Zoanoids.

More the other way around, but it makes it much easier to catch on.

Ah, unless Toei remasters Juspion for HD, I sadly don't see that happening.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork It would be nice if they did. I'm glad to own them in SD but given how prevelent 4k TVs are now, SD just looks a bit rough on them. HD looks much better on these higher resolution sets.
It just depends if Toei really deems it worth it. They've yet to give even their most popular Sentai series the HD treatment while they are also putting their resources into remastering the original Kamen Rider series in 4K.

@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork not to spoil anything but i've been looking for this classic in an official form for more than 20yrs! glad you lead me to this! its episode 47th destined battle is a classic especially the choreography (at that time), even its finale episode 51st.
This reminds of the US KR V3 release which also blows most Toku releases out the water. It looks like this KR Black release is filled with that same love and care too. Which is superb! If they put this much effort into RX I will die a happy nerd.

3:00 Not bad for a show that never aired with Cinetape audio. (Another stupid decision from JNN/TBS/MBS. They never aired live-action filmed toku with higher quality audio in the '80s. Kind of the reverse of ANN/TV Asahi which they never aired any animated programs with higher quality audio during that time period and even during the '90s Sunrise TV shows didn't air with higher quality audio despite them mixing in stereo at that point.) They must have really done some cleanup on that optical track.
Yeah, the audio track is superb. I will say, I don't get Japanese media though. Like anime that is made today still doesn't have a 5.1 audio track, only the English dubs do. It makes no sense to me to not record the shows in 5.1 and then down mix them to 2.0 for people who only have generic boring TV speakers.
Blue SWAT on Toei Toku world RUclips channel has higher quality audio then the DVDs, Dragon Ball GT still has its original audio tracks but they didn't use them for the DVD release, Toei is a notorious company that either likes to throw out their higher quality masters or just too cheap to use Cinetape and D2, as for anime not being in 5.1 budgetary issues might play a role into that.
But I get why we didn't get Atmos for DBS Super Hero (At least internationally), because Toei didn't bother giving Crunchyroll a 4K Blu-ray version. But at least we knew we got and not some weak ass 2.0.

Actually I have a correction to make about DBS SH. We will be getting a updated version for 4K in the Fall but I don't know if we will get an Atmos mix for either audio track. I think the news broke or just today.

Speaking of Liveman, finished watching Liveman and this is one of my fave Sentai shows next to Bioman. I can see why Maskman and Liveman are Bio 2 and Bio 3 in other countries, they represent Hirohisa Soda's best imo. Liveman's writing can be compared to toku shows of now and I laugh at how incompetent some of the writing in Ninninger till Ryusoulger and Zenkaiger shows. God, I miss Soda.
5:44, the guy on the right is literally Ishinomori's son - Joe Onodera who would be the chef from the sequel Black RX and also a chef in Shin Kamen Rider in the 90's. I thought he looked familiar. I didn't know he played RX in the SD Riders OVA. 0_-

6:54, considering how Toei is stingy. We'll never see TF Headmasters, Scramble City, Masterforce, Victory and Zone ever in HD.
Eventually I'll tackle Changerion, but it won't be for years to come.
They did say something in the special about the dude being Ishinomori's son, but I though the girl was making a joke given he doesn't call himself Ishinomori.
