These aren’t just jokes, narcissists use these “jokes” to hide their abuse while they gaslight and slowly but surely chip away at someone’s self esteem, it’s often subliminal at first, and disguised under the guise of a joke- so that they can manipulate you and get away with it and so that they can continue doing it, but they purposely criticize, put down, demean, try to make others insecure and question themselves etc, all the while trying to make themselves look better, or glorifying themselves. There’s many red flags here, he knew she was in the car, and he threw the door back ever so subtlety to avoid others noticing it, while making the message clear to her, he doesn’t care about her, he doesn’t care if the door hits her knee or leg and he doesn’t care to be a gentlemen and hold the door open for her or even wait for her…. Let’s see… he uses a condescending tone, makes everything about him, very strangely asks her & how does it make you feel- after she mentioned a few times losing the chess games-and yet she still showcases patience and a positive attitude that isn’t based on competition but learning, while he just wants to inflate his ego and see how it’s effecting her. He subtly drew attention to her shirt being see thru to make her uncomfortable, possibly insecure but also to groom her and likely try to control her/ bringing attention to what she wears- it’s an early sign of controlling behaviors likely aimed to what she wears in the future. They always start very subtle at first but it gets more and more insidious the deeper it goes. Also slapping her ass in public- is a sign of possession- “I can treat you however I want, touch you however I want, Bc you’re mine” contrary to playful lovers, it’s not done in a playful manner but in a way that shows dominance and it shows a lack of respect for her boundaries and a degree of self entitlement, “I can knock you in the face playfully and just laugh and you won’t tell me not to- even if you do, I’ll just keep doing what I want” the issue here is there is a developing pattern not just an isolated incident. When she shows she wants to go to bed/sleep he much rather get more attention or exploits the moment to try to show off- he makes it about sex and highlights that just bonding with her is boring- and that he wants more, I’ll give you attention, after I’m done getting attention from the fans and only if you give me what I want- which is shallow. I’m not saying couples can’t enjoy sex, but for him to air it out when she wants to sign off and make it about him/ his sexual prowess yea that’s attention seeking behavior for his ego, and then when she says she’s uncomfortable and talks about the kids watching he doesn’t care. When someone has empathy it’s noticeable, he’s displaying narcissistic traits and this poor girl doesn’t fully know what she’s in for. well, tbh no one but them really knows the truth but i can only tell you about my own experience with a guy similar to this. it's almost creepy of how much seeing his body language and little comments in this video remind me of him. but i was still so in love with him, oh i even loved him more than myself. from the moment i woke up my only thought was: "is he going to be nice to me today (which meant will my day be good) or is he going to be mean to me again (which meant my day will be absolutely horrible)". thinking back it's almost insane that i made him and his attitude towards me responsible for the outcome of my day... i did everything to try to make him happy. everything i could. for so so long. no matter what he did, no matter how bad there was no way i would've said: "okay, that's it. that was too much. goodbye!" it only ended when he simply got bored of me or i don't know what and threw me away like a toy he played with, with no regards of my mental health and how i felt. throughout the whole relationship he never cared if i was sad, god i even cried infront of him and had a full-blown mental breakdown just begging him to talk about this "relationship" between us, which ended with him saying "we are at your house now, goodbye" and me getting out of the car without solving anything i was upset about. then he ignored me for a full week, not once checking in if i was okay, only to hit me up on the weekend again to talk... and this would go on for month. and i always put up with it because i loved this kid so so much; so much that i would´ve literally set myself on fire just to keep him warm. but you can only set yourself on fire so long, until you eventually burn out.

He ended up having an affair with a co-worker who thought she was the only one in his life because he lied to both of us. There’s many red flags here, he knew she was in the car, and he threw the door back ever so subtlety to avoid others noticing it, while making the message clear to her, he doesn’t care about her, he doesn’t care if the door hits her knee or leg and he doesn’t care to be a gentlemen and hold the door open for her or even wait for her…. Let’s see… he uses a condescending tone, makes everything about him, very strangely asks her & how does it make you feel- after she mentioned a few times losing the chess games-and yet she still showcases patience and a positive attitude that isn’t based on competition but learning, while he just wants to inflate his ego and see how it’s effecting her. He subtly drew attention to her shirt being see thru to make her uncomfortable, possibly insecure but also to groom her and likely try to control her/ bringing attention to what she wears- it’s an early sign of controlling behaviors likely aimed to what she wears in the future. They always start very subtle at first but it gets more and more insidious the deeper it goes. Also slapping her ass in public- is a sign of possession- “I can treat you however I want, touch you however I want, Bc you’re mine” contrary to playful lovers, it’s not done in a playful manner but in a way that shows dominance and it shows a lack of respect for her boundaries and a degree of self entitlement, “I can knock you in the face playfully and just laugh and you won’t tell me not to- even if you do, I’ll just keep doing what I want” the issue here is there is a developing pattern not just an isolated incident. When she shows she wants to go to bed/sleep he much rather get more attention or exploits the moment to try to show off- he makes it about sex and highlights that just bonding with her is boring- and that he wants more, I’ll give you attention, after I’m done getting attention from the fans and only if you give me what I want- which is shallow. I’m not saying couples can’t enjoy sex, but for him to air it out when she wants to sign off and make it about him/ his sexual prowess yea that’s attention seeking behavior for his ego, and then when she says she’s uncomfortable and talks about the kids watching he doesn’t care. When someone has empathy it’s noticeable, he’s displaying narcissistic traits and this poor girl doesn’t fully know what she’s in for. If this is how he acts on camera with a smirk on his face, imagine what happens behind closed doors. I hope she realizes that she’s better than this and that this is the start of abuse that runs much deeper.

well, tbh no one but them really knows the truth but i can only tell you about my own experience with a guy similar to this. it's almost creepy of how much seeing his body language and little comments in this video remind me of him. but i was still so in love with him, oh i even loved him more than myself. from the moment i woke up my only thought was: "is he going to be nice to me today (which meant will my day be good) or is he going to be mean to me again (which meant my day will be absolutely horrible)". thinking back it's almost insane that i made him and his attitude towards me responsible for the outcome of my day... i did everything to try to make him happy. everything i could. for so so long. no matter what he did, no matter how bad there was no way i would've said: "okay, that's it. that was too much. goodbye!" it only ended when he simply got bored of me or i don't know what and threw me away like a toy he played with, with no regards of my mental health and how i felt. throughout the whole relationship he never cared if i was sad, god i even cried infront of him and had a full-blown mental breakdown just begging him to talk about this "relationship" between us, which ended with him saying "we are at your house now, goodbye" and me getting out of the car without solving anything i was upset about. then he ignored me for a full week, not once checking in if i was okay, only to hit me up on the weekend again to talk... and this would go on for month. and i always put up with it because i loved this kid so so much; so much that i would´ve literally set myself on fire just to keep him warm. but you can only set yourself on fire so long, until you eventually burn out.

For instance people feel good when they know they are good at sports but imagine someone going "wow Haha I keep beating you at soccer you SUCK". Sure some people can brush it off but some are impacted and feel bad about themselves. It's fine if you don't get it but it is a real thing and is especially prevalent in toxic relationships.
