I'm 51, look late 30s early 40s. I think Dave still looks great now. He's always maintained about 0% body fat, unlike the fat fucks half his age talking shit here.
This period of time was the worst in Eddie's life by far. It would have been horrible. Heck it was still pretty bad in 2007 since he wasn't fully sober yet then either.
Thank you for this! My dad took me because I was maybe 15 at the time. We were to far back from the stage that night. I remember this tall guy walking through the crowd spilling beer on people and cussing them. A way short muscular dude probably knocked him 10 feet in the air. Some of the biggest cheers were from that. I’ll always support Dave because this was a free show and everyone was getting soaked by the rain. He played such a long set that night. Still one of my favorite concerts of all time.
LEGEND and the true definition of a rock star. In 1986 at newhaven connecticut I watched him climb 100 feet in the air to a boxing ring and sing Panama at the same time. Then ride a huge smoking surfboard in the air across the audience. Need I say more. Legends never die.
Dave was 49 years old here. God bless him. When I was 12, I wanted to be Eddie with Dave on stage. Now that I am about the same age as David was here, I think how easy my job is compared to this. I can hear his manager “Go out there and have the vocal chords and energy you had in your twenties or die trying. You can still do a roundhouse kick over your head, right? You might not want to jump off the top of the Marshalls into a full split to open this show, just spin that pole thing and everyone will understand.
That's what almost all the people that are watching this are thinking about though none of them dreamed they would connect Doc and Dave Lee Roth when they saw Michael J. Cuz he’s too old to jump around so he’s never out of breath. In the Van Halen days he was out of breath and he when he tried he sounded really good unfortunately half the time he did not try.

I saw the Portland, Oregon show. Dave had something to prove on this tour - that VH couldn't go on wo him ie they all needed to be back together in the same camp. It's that sum of all parts thing. And he proved it quite well... I've even heard Van Halen is considering going back on tour w him... maybe even a new album. Rumor has it the first track will be called "Tatoo" or something like that.

Wow. No. Delusional. Springsteen is my favorite artist but I still wouldn't lie and say that he has a 5 octive range when he doesnt. And neither does roth. He has about 3 good singing octives, the other 2 are just shouting
realvoltxge Plus I think he sounds great here. Dave always made it clear: records were one thing, Live! is another. He’s not the guy who thinks buying a ticket should give someone the record played loud. Live is a 4D experience, more than just audio. These other people who go straight to the ‘Dave cant sing’ never mention the fact that this is the guy who wrote these lyrics & melodies, as well thats his voice on record. Sure every artist has vocal effects & eq in the studio mix, but being someone who has recorded a lot of music including vocals & harmonies, I dont hear anything on any DLR vocal tracks (with VH) that sounds artificial. He is not a Brittany Spears in the studio. Live, its very difficult to move this much & control ur breathing at any age, let alone 60+. I appreciate u supporting DLR, in my opinion he not only invented the entire West Coast blond hair drum riser jumping front man, but he also was creative enough to mix some far out Al Jolson type jazz vocal style with hard rock. Extremely underrated due to his eccentric interview style & being able to laugh at himself.

WE need 5.150 gigawatts in order to get us BACK to 1984 and have a level headed conversation like two adults and sort out our priorities both personal and band goals and prevent my departure from the band and created the timeline where I never left the band, and the NEXT album we would have made in 1986 and beyond would all go straight to #1 and held for weeks or months as the years went on! But Eddiiiie! If we don't reach our hands between our legs and ease the seat back we can't see the road from all the heat coming off it when we get our own balls out of eachother's way we can change the past and create a brilliant future where we all got along and became the biggest American rock n roll band legacy for all time, instead of the splintered unfortunate way things played out by say around 1985-2019!" -And Scene!-
