Will you use your powers for good?
God has called us to rule and reign - but the temptation as shown right at the beginning of Genesis through Satan's leading of Adam and Eve into 'greater knowledge', is to grasp for things for ourselves that God intends to bring to us at the point He knows is right.
The story of the tower of Babel tells of the time that people united together - but instead of using their common language to bring glory to God, they wanted their own glory. God stepped in and scattered them.
Pentecost brought a different lens. This time everyone was speaking different languages, but unity through the Holy Spirit brought understanding within God's boundaries.
What does this mean for us, as we seek to build community today? Putting the leading of the Holy Spirit at the centre of our decisions and actions is crucial - but this requires an intentionality of coming together as stakeholders under the rule and reign of God...
