  • Polaris Ranger crew is a 2021 premium
    Canam defender max is a 22 limited
    Both are equipped with 27” tires
    Defender had one adult and 2 boys riding
    Ranger had one adult and 1 boy
    Both are great machines
    I own a 2022 Polaris ultimate crew also
    I prefer the defender over the ranger for comfort
    Drag racing the two machines the defender seems to always get the jump. slightly pulling ahead of the ranger. If it’s a up hill race the defender seems to do even better.

    I got my defender Hd7 max about a month or so ago now. I absolutely love it. The Hd7 is no slouch and is going to be a big seller for can am. Tons of torque in low. I’ve hit 62 mph an felt there was more but ran out of room. It’s by far the smoothest and quietest single cylinder I’ve ever been around. Far as ranger vs defender goes to me the defender wins hands down every single time. Just better rounded machine. Biggest thing to me is the fit and finish. Look at an sit in a defender and it feels high end where in my opinion the rangers feel and seem cheap. It’s in the eye of the beholder type thing obviously. Mine is a base machine but I will build to suite my families needs as I go. Comparing base defender vs base ranger the defender eats it alive. Same size as all the other defenders 27” tires with 14” wheels vs 25” tires and 12” wheels on the ranger etc etc. Hd7 vs 570 specs speak for themselves. Really loving my defender Hd7 max. 👍🏻👍🏻

    I like both machines. I have a that exact Polaris just withouth the doors and there are a couple big differences. The 4wd on the Polaris is locked. I believe the Can-Am uses an electronic sensor system for traction control and I didn't want that. If I need 4WD, I get 4WD. The next is the mounting options in the bed. I can put brooms, rakes, shovels and all kinds of stuff in the 1.25" holes in the bed. PVC pipe, wooden dowel, you name it. I made a PVC frame for a tarp cover and it works perfectly, is super lightweight and comes out fast. The Can-Am uses a proprietary locking system for the bed equipment. It's like John Deere vs everyone else. I just didn't want to be stuck in their ecosystem. The Can-Am is an awesome machine but I needed more versatility.

    • @americandream_89
      @americandream_89  2 года назад +1

      Totally understand. Everyone is different and no machine fits everyone. Both have pros in either direction.
      The Visco takes a half to full tire rotation to lockup. Not as quick as the Ranger.
      The defender bed has pockets also that can have the boards installed or anything you would want. You don’t have to use can am linQ.
      You can’t go wrong either way.

  • @jrlevitz9993
    @jrlevitz9993 Год назад

    I own both concurrently. The Defender will win a top speed race, no mph limiter. Defender will cruise 70. Ranger limits speed to 59 as I recall. Now, I’ve since added the Gilomen tune and clutching to the Ranger, and it will now run away and hide from the Defender. Stock Ranger clutching is like 5,700rpm, boo. The Ranger is essentially a RZR engine. The Defender is a V Twin. If you are large build person, the Defender is a better fit, way more room in the cab and better seats for all day riding. The Ranger Ride command and info system is great and a big missing accessory for the Defender. For work and utility it’s the Defender. For sport and fun it’s the Ranger. The Ranger will win the hill climb distance wager every time.

    • @americandream_89
      @americandream_89  Год назад

      You can do the same to a defender with evo tuning or other companies. I’ve raced so many rangers and defenders. The defender wins every time Apple to Apple race.
      If you hill climb it will be a toss up depending on terrain. Unless it’s slow rock crawling and the Ranger is better.
      Both machines are a v twin engine so not sure what you are going for with that statement.

      Fully agree! Smart lok should be the standard on anything with Can-am. But for the average user the visco will 100% be fine. I’ve been on several rides with high end rzr, x3, and so on.
